The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) was set up by Govt. of Odisha as a statutory body in the year 1994 for carrying out direct recruitment against Group-C posts in the State cadre (as against District cadre) as may be scheduled in the OSSC Rules, 1993. There are some 85 different cadres of posts/ services under various departments of Government to which recruitment is made through this Commission.

Indicative advertisement for the recruitment of Pharmacist under Directorate of Employees State Insurance Scheme (Labour & ESI Department) on contractual basis.

Post : Pharmacist

No of posts : 18 [UR-01(W), SC- 05(W-1), ST- 12(W-5)]

Educational Qualification : +2 Sc. With Diploma in Pharmacy /Bachelor in Pharmacy from AICTE approved institutions. Candidates must have registered under Pharmacy Council of Odisha.

Age limit : 21 years to 32 years of age as on 1.1.2019

Scale of Pay / Remuneration :  Remuneration of Rs/-9500/-per month (for 1st year) as per Govt, in G.A. & P.G. Department Notification No. 19574/G.A. dated 12.09.2017

The Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SEBC, SC, ST & Women candidates, 10 years relaxation in case of PwD category candidates, the period of service rendered in defence forces in case of Ex-serviceman candidates and upto 45 years as ovi 01.01.2019 in case of In-Service Contractual Employees subject to condition that he/she has completed one year of continuous service prior to commencement of the above Rule. PwD candidates in the SC/ST category shall be entitled to avail cumulative age relaxation of ten years over & above the normal age relaxation.

Examination Fees
The candidates other than SC,ST & PwD shall have to pay non-refundable examination fee of Rs.200/- (Rupees two hundred) only through online mode as per details mentioned in the detailed advertisement.

The PwD candidates in the bench mark disability of Locomotor Disability, Cerebral palsy, Leporsy cured, Dwarfism, Acid attack victims, Muscular dystrophy shall be eligible to apply for the post.

The applicant must have Odia as one of the subjects in the HSC or passed examination in Odia equivalent to M.E. standard or passed in Odia as language subject in the final examination of Class VII or passed a test in Odia in M.E. School standard conducted by Educational Department of Odisha on the date of the application.

A - Main Written Examination- 200 marks
B - Certificate verification
Main Written Examination
Two papers - Paper-I-Composite paper(English, Odia & General Studies)-1 hr.-100 marks, (Common examination for all posts)
Paper II-Technical Paper (Separate syllabus for each post)-1 hr.-100 marks
Select List - The Select List shall be prepared in order of merit category wise basing on the marks secured by the candidates in the Main Written Examination & found eligible in certificate verification.
