Established in 1889, the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) is one of the premier research institutions dedicated to livestock research and development of the region. The institute with faculty strength of more than 275 has a major mandate of research, teaching, consultancy and technology transfer activities. Engagement of one Junior Research Fellow in DST-SERB funded time bound project entitled, “Elucidating the interaction of non-structural proteins of Bluetongue virus with mammalian host and vector cells”. The appointment is purely temporary on contractual basis and co-terminus with the project. There will be no provision of absorption/reemployment in IVRI/DST on termination of the project. No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the interview and no separate letter will be issued.
Duration of the project: Three years
Essential Qualifications: Postgraduate Degree (M.Sc.) in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Immunology/Life Science with NET qualification or B.Tech./B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree with NET qualification or M.V.Sc./M.Tech. degree in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Microbiology/Immunology/Life Science (As per guidelines issued vide DST Office memorandum No. SR/S9/Z-09/2012, dated 21st Oct , 2014)
Emoluments: 25000 pm + HRA as per qualifications and guidelines issued vide DST Office memorandum No. SR/S9/Z-09/2012, dated 21st Oct , 2014
Age limit: 30 years (Relaxation as per Govt. of India norms).
