Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is one of the seven Institutes of Technology created as centres of excellence for higher training, research and development in science, engineering and technology in India, the others being at Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Bombay, Guwahati and Roorkee. Established as College of Engineering in 1961, the Institute was later declared an Institution of National Importance under the “Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963″ and was renamed “Indian Institute of Technology Delhi”. Sr. Project Scientist (1) (Scientist –D)
Consolidated Salary : Rs.54,000/-p.m. plus HRA @ 30%
Qualifications :
Ph.D. from reputed Institution in biochemistry / microbiology / Pharmaceuticals or relevant discipline with one year experience OR 1st class M.Tech. with 5 years experience OR 1st class B.Tech. / M.Sc. with 8 years experience The job profile involves preparing methods and procedures for testing of medical drugs and devices both in respect to biological actions as well as physicochemical properties.

Sr. Project Scientist (1) (Scientist –C)
Consolidated Salary : Rs.51,000/-p.m. plus HRA @ 30%
Qualifications :
1st class M.Tech. or equivalent in the Mechanical / Production / Electrical or Electronics Engineering with 4 years experience OR 1st class B.Tech. / M.Sc. with 7 years experience The Scientist will develop laboratory facilities for testing and evaluation of the performance of the devices.

Sr. Project Scientist (2) (Scientist –B)
Consolidated Salary : Rs.48,000/-p.m. plus HRA @ 30%
Qualifications :
1st class M.Tech. or equivalent in the Mechanical / Production / Electrical or Electronics Engineering with 3 years experience OR 1st class B.Tech. / M.Sc. with 6 years experience The Scientist will help all the above Scientists in Design, fabrication and testing.
