The Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) has been established by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India under an agreement with UNESCO as its Category II Centre. It is designed to be a Centre of excellence in biotechnology with intimate contributions from the countries of the region and academic institutions from the rest of world. It provides a meeting place where innovation, enterprise and industrial development will germinate.
Post : Junior Research Fellow
Title of Project: “Molecular Interactions critical for DNA Mismatch Repair” Duration: For one year.
Essential Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science with NET qualification or Graduate Degree in Professional Course with NET qualification. Research experience and practical knowledge of protein purification, biochemical assays and protein crystallography are essential.
Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge of Molecular Biology and Research Experience in enzymes involved in processing of Nucleic Acids.
Principal investigator: Dr. Deepak T. Nair, Associate Professor.
Fellowship: Rs. 25,000/- plus 30% HRA per month
