IIEST, Shibpur ranks 27th in NIRF-2021 among Engineering Institutes. It is the first college to become Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST) in India in 2014. The Institute has a rich history. It is empowering the nation since 1856. Considering the year of establishment, it is the 3rd engineering college in India but considering the year of graduation it is the 2nd oldest engineering college in India. It has 16 departments and 8 schools. It has over 250 faculty members and a student strength of over 4000.

Applications are invited from interested candidates for the following post in the Dr. Bholanath Chakraborty Memorial Fundamental Research Laboratory of Homoeopathy, under the Centre for Healthcare Science and Technology, at Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, Howrah - 711103.

Essential Qualification : Master's degree in Biotechnology / Biomedical engineering / Botany / Plant Biotechnology / Plant Molecular Biology / Natural sciences / Biochemistry OR any allied fields in Life Sciences from a recognized University OR Equivalent with first class or equivalent (in terms of grades etc.).
Desirable Qualification :
1. GATE qualification.
2. Proven experience in working in the related field (homoeopathic research).
3. Having experience in handling FTIR, Raman, DLS and other spectroscopic data.
4. Having exposure to various Molecular Biology techniques.

Fellowship : 1st & 2nd Year: Rs. 37,000/- p.m. + Rs 11,100/- (30% HRA) = Rs 48,100/- per month; 3rd Year: Rs. 42,000/- p.m. + Rs 12,600/- (30% HRA) = Rs 54,600/- per month

Age Limit : Maximum 28 years, (Upper age limit is Exceeded by up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Woman/PWD/EWS as per Govt, of India and ANRF rules).
Duration : Initially for 06 months. It may be extended after evaluation up to 36 months OR till the completion of the project, whichever happens earlier.
