National Institute of Immunology Hiring Life Sciences candidates

The National Institute of Immunology (NII) is committed to advanced research with a view to understand body's defense mechanisms for developing modalities of immune system manipulation that can intervene with disease processes. The institute’s research thrust areas under immunology and related disciplines cluster in four main themes, namely, infection and immunity, molecular design, gene regulation and reproduction and development, where cutting edge research in modern biology is being carried out employing multiple overlapping disciplines of biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology and structural biology.

Post : Project Technical Support-III (One position only)

Name of the Project : “To Test the Equine Anti-dengue virus immunoglobulins” funded by Bharat Serums and Vaccines Limited (BSV)
Duration : Six Months (6 Months)
Educational Qualifications : Masters in Life Sciences from a recognized university
Desirable : Experience in virology and immunology

Job Description : The selected candidate is expected to work for testing the equine antibodies for their potential in neutralizing dengue virus and mediating any antibody dependent enhancement. Hands-on experience in high-throughput virus neutralization assays and cell culture is essential. Candidates with hands-on experience in the clinical virology research will be preferred.

Emoluments : Rs. 28,000/- per month consolidated plus 30% HRA (As per funding agency norms)
