Applications are invited for the post of “Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)" for an ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) funded Intermediate Grant project entitled Should Colorectal Cancer Screening be Done in Asymptomatic Indians: A Pan-India multicenter Study' at Department of Gastroenterology, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. The position is completely temporary. Initially, it is for one year, which can be extended after the candidate's satisfactory performance and co¬terminus with the project.
Post : Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) (1 Post)
Emolument : Rs. 56,000/- + 18% HRA per month
Upper age limit : 35 Years, (relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and female candidates as per Govt, of India rules.)
Essential qualification : 1. First Class Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences (Biochemistry/Zoology/Bio technology) including the integrated PG Degrees. or 2. Second Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG Degrees with PhD.
Desirable qualification : Experience in handling laboratory instruments/molecular techniques, good scientific writing and preparation of research reports. Experience in project Management. Excellent skills in Computer Applications and ability to manage diverse teams will be preferred.
