National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources, New Delhi and Bioversity International-India, New Delhi in collaboration with the Asia-Pacific Association for Agricultural Research Institutes Bangkok, are organizing the Eighth International Training Course on In Vitro and Cryopreservation Approaches for Conservation of Plant Genetic Resources’ from Nov. 5-19, 2019.

Applications are invited for the post of SRF & Project Assistant at ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi as mentioned below.

Senior Research Fellow (SRF) - (01)
Project Code : CABIN project entitled “Identifications of Genes / Genomic regions associated with Fusarium head blight resistance in Wheat”
Emoluments : Rs.37,000/- per month + HRA (as per Central Government norms) for First and Second Year and Rs.42,000/- + HRA (as per Central Government norms) for third year.
Qualification : Master degree in Bioinformatics Biotechnology/Plant Breeding/Agricultural statistics/Statistics/ Computer Science/ Computer application or Equivalent with Four years or Five years of Bachelor’s degree OR Having 3+2 years Bachelor’s Degree should have 'NET qualification and 2 years of research experience. Desirable Knowledge of Statistical and Computational Genomics/ Bioinformatics Knowledge of Programming in LINUX/R/Perl/ JAVA/ PHP/JSP and use of various software and tools.

Project Assistant (01)
Project Code : DBT funded Network project on wheat Sub Project : Coordination unit
Emoluments : Rs. 20000+27% HRA
Qualification : B.Sc. in Life Science/ Diploma in Engineering & Technology/ Computer/ Information technology.
Desirable : Experience of handling field data, familiar with software’s being used in field data analysis, knowledge of Microsoft office/Excel/data handling.

Age Limit : The upper age limit for the post of SRF is 35 years and Project Assistant is 50 years as on the date of interview. Relaxation in upper age limit to women (5 years), SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwD (10 years). Age for and other eligible categories shall be applicable as per GOI/ICAR rules.

General Terms and Conditions for the Advertisement
• Candidates are requested to ensure their eligibility like age, qualification etc. before appear’ g interview
• Candidates having essential qualification will only be considered for interview.
• No TA/DA and official accommodation will be provided for appearing in the interview.
• The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The selected candidate has no right to claim for regularization or absorption whatsoever in ICAR/NBPGR
• The decision of Director of the institute will be final and binding in all aspects.
• The Director reserves the right to terminate the contract of job as mentioned above, even before the completion of the project for which no appeal thereof shall be entertained.
• Candidates are required to send scanned pdf copy of all the relevant certificates/ mark sheets etc., with an application with full bio-data affixing a passport size photograph on the top. The originals will be verified at the time of joining.
• If any information of the candidate is found to be incorrect or concealing any facts, his/her candidature to the interview/ selection to the post is liable to be cancelled at any stage.
• Emoluments may be paid as per satisfaction of the work by the PI and fund availability by the funding agency.
• In case of any disputes, it will be resolved in the jurisdiction of New Delhi only.
