The National Institute of Immunology (NII) is committed to advanced research with a view to understand body's defense mechanisms for developing modalities of immune system manipulation that can intervene with disease processes. The institute’s research thrust areas under immunology and related disciplines cluster in four main themes, namely, infection and immunity, molecular design, gene regulation and reproduction and development, where cutting edge research in modern biology is being carried out employing multiple overlapping disciplines of biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology and structural biology.
Post : Senior Research Fellow (Project) (One position only)
Applications are invited for the position of Senior Research Fellow (Project) for the following time-bound sponsored project as per the details given below
Name of the Project : “Next Generation Sequencing Facility” funded by NII Core Grant
Educational Qualifications : Master’s degree in Bioinformatics or any other branch of science with two years of proven experience in bioinformatics data analysis. Candidates must have qualified any ‘National Level Examination’ such as NET/GATE etc
Job Description : Candidates must have strong skills in bioinformatics (with publications in reputed journals). The candidate is expected to have strong skills and competence in R and Python (GitHub links with the substantial work already done must be provided). Codes done as part of tutorials will not be considered.
Emoluments :
The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per Institute Rules, depending upon qualifications & experience: Rs. 42,000/- per month plus 27% HRA (As per DST OM dated 26.06.2023)

General Terms & Conditions :
1. The candidates selected for the above posts will be on contract for one year or duration of the project whichever is shorter, at a time.
2. No hostel/ housing facility will be provided.

4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, if called for.
