AIIMS, Bathinda is one of the apex healthcare institutes being established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY).
Post : Project Assistant & 01 (One)
Applications in the prescribed format are invited for one post of project assistant in Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi sponsored research project entitled “Extracellular Vesicle Mediated Induction in pro-inflammatory response leading to Pulmonary Endothelial Dysfunction in Cystic Fibrosis Patients" purely temporarily.
Tenure of the Post : 09.03.2026* (extension may be granted upon receiving approval from funding agency)
Monthly Emoluments : Rs 33,700/- per month (consolidate)
Essential Qualification : 1. Master's degree in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/ Molecular biology or in any branch of the life sciences with minimum of 60% marks.
Age Limit : 30 Years on the date of Interview with relaxation to SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India norms.
Desirable Qualification : 1. NET/GATE/CSIR/ UGC or any national level exam qualified candidate will be preferred.
2. Working experience in tissue culture and molecular biology techniques.
* The position is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the end of the project.
General Terms & Conditions
1. Reporting time for candidates starts at 09:00 am on 02/01/2026 and the closing time to report for the interview is 10:30 am on 02/01/2026, after which no additional candidates would be entertained for an interview.
2. The above posts are filled purely on a temporary basis, co-terminus with the project & the candidate will have no right to claim permanent employment under AIIMS Bathinda or ICMR or continuation of his/her services in any other project.
3. No inquiries shall be entertained in this regard after the due date.
4. Candidate should bring duly filled form, self-attested photocopies, eligibility qualification mark sheets, degrees, experience certificate, qualifying degree registration with the statutory council (if applicable), and other relevant testimonials at the time of interview.

7. All educational professional and technical qualifications should be from a recognized Board/ University and full-time.
8. The experience requirement specified should be experience acquired after obtaining the minimum
educational qualifications required for the post.
9. No TA/DA will be admissible to appear in the interview, including (SC/ST candidates).
10. This position will be purely on a temporary/contractual basis for the specified period of time and based on the project.
11. The salary is a consolidated sum without any other benefits, and it is based on experience, qualifications, skill set, etc. of the candidates.
12. In case of any unforeseen circumstances, if the project is stalled or postponed, the salary may be delayed/stopped for that period.
13. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
14. Age/Education qualification/Experience will be considered till the last date of the advertisement.
