Advertisement for JRF or Project Associate at University of Hyderabad

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the one post of Project Associate-1 or Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for SERB Research Grant. The details of the project and the post for recruitment are given below

Post : JRF or Project Associate-1 for the research project funded by DST (SERB)

Project Title : Biological potential of new rhenium(I)tricarbonyl- /rhenium(I)dicarbonyl-azolate motif-based acyclic and metallosupramolecules: Syntheis, structural characterization, solution studies and biological active studies”
Project Duration : Fourteen months

Monthly emolument : a) Junior Research Fellow (JRF) : Rs. 31,000 (consolidated +24% HRA) for those who have qualified CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship or GATE or qualified through National Examination of Government Departments and Agencies including IITs, IISERs, IISc. b) Project Associate-1: Rs. 25,000 (Consolidated +24% HRA) for others who do not fall under the above category.

Essential Qualification : B.Sc (Chemistry) and M.Sc (Chemistry) from a recognized Institute/University with at least 60% marks or at least 6.5/10 Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) or Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). Preference will be given to candidates having research experience and candidates having qualified GATE or CSIR-UGC NET(LS) or any other national examinations of Government Departments/Institutes.

Age limit : 28

Job Description : The candidate is required to assist in carrying out various activities under the project to complete the objectives and deliverables in time as per schedule. However, the candidate will be allowed to register for his/her Ph.D. degree in the school if qualified.

Terms and Conditions
The position is purely on temporary basis and will be governed by the administrative rules and guidelines of University of Hyderabad
1. The offer is for one year and extendable for another one year, i.e. the duration of the project and the position is co-terminus with the project.
2. No TA/DA is permissible for appearing in the interview and joining in case of selection.
3. The interview will be notified only through email to the shortlisted candidates after the closing of application date. The interview will be likely after one week of the application closing date. Any errors and mistake in filling up of email id is sole responsibility of the candidate. 4. Candidates not qualifying / not shortlisted for the interview will not be communicated. No other communications in this regard will be entertained.
5. Candidate shall bring along with them the original degree(s)/certificate(s) and experience certificate(s) at the time of interview for verification.
6. Appointment will be contractual in nature and as per the university norms/ terms and conditions for similar cases.
7. The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of information, other documents and photographs uploaded.
8. The PI/University reserves the right to cancel the recruitment without assigning any reason.
9. The candidate selected for the above position will have the option to register for PhD programme offered in the School of Chemistry, University of Hyderabad, Gachibowli - 500045. However, for admission into PhD programme, the candidate must apply based on the notification from UoH for Ph.D admissions, followed by qualifying examination and personal interview, as per University of Hyderabad admission criteria for Ph.D admission.
