Opportunity for M.Pharm, M.Sc in Institute of Forest Biodiversity

The journey of ICFRE was initiated way back towards the end of the nineteenth century with the advent of scientific forestry in India and the establishment of the Forest School in Dehradun in 1878. It was on 5th June 1906 subsequently that the Imperial Forest Research Institute was founded by Government of India for taking forward forestry research in the country.  In 1986 the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education or ICFRE was formed as an umbrella organisation for taking care of forestry research, education and extension needs of the country. Finally on 1st June 1991, the ICFRE was declared an autonomous Council under the then Ministry of Environment and Forests and registered as a Society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.

For the positions of Junior Project Fellows (JPFs), Project Assistants (PA) in the following research projects purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project period or till completion of eligible period as per ICFRE norms.

Junior Project Fellow
Title of the Project : Sustainable management of NTFPs through conservation and value addition(AICRP-29) PI- Shri Pankaj Singh Scientist-C Co-PI’s Shri. Pravin H Chawhaan, Sc-G Dr. Pattanaik Sc-F Dr. Abha Rani Gupta,Sc-F
Education Qualification : M.Sc. in Botany /Agriculture/Env.Science having taxonomy/agronomy/medicinal plant/NTFP as one of the Subject (OR) First class M Pharmacy in Pharmacogosy having experience in extraction, isolation and formulation of products from natural resources
Desirable Qualification : (i) Experience in field tours (ii) Good Knowledge of Computer Application
Project Period : Jan, 2019- Dec,2024
Emoluments : Rs. 20000 +HRA Per Month

Junior Project Fellow
Title of the Project : Genetic Improvement and Value Addition of Madhuca longifolia(AICRP-23) PI-Shri Kavi Sidharthan, Scientist-B
Education Qualification : First Class M.Sc in Forestry/ Agriculture/ Horticulture.
Desirable Qualification : (i) Experience in Field tours, Selection of Candidate Plus Trees and Vegetative Propagation techniques like cutting and grafting (ii) Good Communication Skills
Project Period : Jan, 2020 - Mar, 2025
Emoluments : Rs. 20000 +HRA Per Month


Project Assistant

Desirable Qualification : (i) Experience in field tours (ii)Good Knowledge of Computer Application
Project Period :  Jan,2019-Dec,2024
Emoluments : Rs.19000/-per month (Fixed)

Terms and Conditions
1. Only Indian Nationals are eligible
2. Upper age limit is 28 years as on the 1st day of June, 2021. The age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST/Women/Physically Handicapped and OBC.
3. The Position is temporary and Co-terminus with the project
4. Recruitment for the above temporary positions is governed by rules of the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education and does not guarantee subsequent employment in any Institute under the council
5. The interested Candidates may appear before the Selection Committee with all their original certificates, mark sheets with a self-attested copy of each of it, as per the date and time given below. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk in interview.


6. Offer of Engagement to the selected candidates will be issued subject to availability of funds and approval of the Competent Authority. Tenure mentioned in the advertisement is tentative and liable to be curtailed/ extended as per decision of the Competent Authority.
7. If it is found at any stage of the process of thereafter that the candidate doesn’t fulfil the eligibility criteria, their candidature shall be cancelled without assigning and reason whatsoever. Further, the decision of Director, IFB with regard to the selection process will be treated as find and binding to all concerned. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained by the Institute
8. The Candidates have to strictly follow the form annexed-1 (Typed/filled) duly signed and submit on the date of Interview.
9. The selection process may continue till late evening/ next day. Candidates are advised to come prepared accordingly
10. Due COVID-19 Pandemic everybody should wear the MASK is Compulsory without MASK entry inside the campus will be prohibited.
