M.Pharm, M.Sc Career as Senior Scientific Officer at CDTL

The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) is the Central Drug Authority for discharging functions assigned to the Central Government under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. CDSCO has six zonal offices, four sub-zonal offices, 13 port offices and seven laboratories under its control.

Post : Senior Scientific Officer-1

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for appointment by promotion/transfer on Deputation (including short-term-contract) to the post of Senior Scientific Officer-1 (Chemistry), Group A Gazetted, PB-3, Rs. 15600-39100 + GP 6600 (pre-revised), Level 11 (Rs. 67,700/- 2,08,700/-) (revised) in the Central Drugs Testing Laboratory, Mumbai, Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation, Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

Eligibility Criteria :
Officers of the Central Government or the State Governments
or Union Territories or Universities or recognized Research Institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or semi-Government or Statutory or Autonomous Organisations
(a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
(ii) with five years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in the pay band-3, Rs. 15600-39100 with grade pay of Rs.5400 (pre-revised) or equivalent, Level 10 in the pay matrix (revised); and
(b) possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:
(i) Masters degree in Chemistry / Biochemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Microbiology / Pharmacy / Pharmacology/Physiology / Botany Veterinary Science from a recrognised University or quivalent.
(ii) 5 years experience in Chemical and Physico-Chemical testing of druqs.


The Departmental Senior Scientific Officer-II (Microbiology) with 5 years' regular service in the grade wiii also be considered aiongwith outsiders and in case he/she is selected for appointment to the post, the same shall be deemed to have been filled by promotion. The Departmental Officers in the feeder category who as in the direct line of promotion shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation. Similarly, deputationists shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion. (Period of deputation/contract including period of deputation/contract in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other Organisation/Department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed 4 years). The maximum age limit for appointment by transfer on deputation (including short-term contract) shall not be exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications).

LIST OF DOCUMENTS TO BE SENT ALONG WITH THE APPLICATION
1. Application in prescribed format - Annexure II duly filled in and signed by the candidate and countersigned with seal by the Cadre/Appointing authority.
2. Attested copies of APAR/ACRs for the last 5 (five) years duly attested on each page by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary to the Government of India.
3. Integrity Certificate
4. Vigilance Clearance Certificate
5. Statement of major or minor penalties, if any, imposed on the officer during the last 10 years of service.
6. A certificate to the effect that the particulars furnished by the candidate have been verified and found correct as per service records.
7. Cadre Clearance Certificate.
