ICAR NASF funded project at NIAB

NIAB is an autonomous and premier institute of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. The Institute aims to develop and harness novel and emerging biotechnological tools and applications, and take up research in cutting-edge areas for improving animal health and productivity as well as contribute to human health and welfare.

Post : Senior Research Fellowship

ONE position of Senior Research Fellowship under ICAR NASF funded project entitled “Molecular biological studies on porcine reproductive & respiratory syndrome (PRRS) virus in pig population of North East Region of India for development of sustainable diagnostics and vaccine” Dr. Madhuri Subbiah (CCPI), Scientist-D.

Fellowship amount : Rs.31, 000/-+ HRA (if applicable) as per ICAR guidelines.


Eligibility : Master degree in relevant subject with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates having post-graduate degree in basic sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualifications and 2 years of research experience as mentioned in OM No. Edn./6/27/2014/HRD dates 13th July, 2015, OM No. Agril. Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD 9th October, 2015 of the council, OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 of DST dated 30th January 2019 and OM F.No. Ag.Edn.6/27/2014-HRD dated 30th July 2019.

Desired Experience: Candidate having previous work experience in the areas of molecular cloning, small animals handling, cell and virus culture and basic molecular biology techniques will be preferred.


Age : 35 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions)
