National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hajipur (NIPER-HAJIPUR), running since 2007 under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India, is looking for contractual Teaching staff on temporary basis, which is likely to be permanent, on consolidated pay for the posts of Professor (Pharmacy Practice) - 1 No., Associate Professor (Pharmacy Practice) -1 No. initially for a period of one year subject to renewal on the basis of performance and mutual consent or till the posts are sanctioned, whichever falls earlier.

Post : Faculty

Professor (Pharmacy Practice) -1 post (UR)
Qualification & Experience:.
1. Ph.D with 1st class or equivalent at the preceding degree M.Pharm in the appropriate branch having teaching/industrial/research experience with good academic record.
2. Minimum 10 years Post Ph.D. experience in Teaching/Industry/Research out of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent at P.G. level teaching/Industry/ Research Institute.
3. The candidate should have demonstrated leadership in research in a specific area of specialization in terms of guidance of Ph D students, strong record of publications in reputed journals and conferences, patents, laboratory/course development and/or other recognized relevant professional activities such as principal investigator of major research papers.
Desirable: Persons having teaching/ research experience in the area of development of pharmaceutical products and patents and strong background in developing and validation of pharmaceutical formulations and/or clinical practices research employing modern techniques, Patient safety, pharmaceutical care, geriatric pharmacotherapy, pharmacokinetics and biopharmaceutics , Pharmaco-vigilance, Pharmaco-economics, antimicrobial usage, community and rural pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, Pharmacotherapeutics, Rational use of drugs, clinical and applied therapeutics and Clinical trials etc. shall be preferred.
Consolidated pay: Rs. 1,08,000/- (fixed) per month    
Maximum Age: 50 years as on last date of application.

 

Professor (Biotechnology) – 1 post (UR):
Qualification & Experience:
1. Ph.D with 1st class or equivalent at the preceding degree M.S.(Pharm)/M.Pharm/M.Sc) in the appropriate branch having teaching/industrial/research experience with good academic record.
2. Minimum 10 years Post Ph.D. experience in Teaching/Industry/Research out of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent at P.G. level teaching/Industry/ Research Institute.
3. The candidate should have demonstrated leadership in research in a specific area of specialization in terms of guidance of Ph D students, strong record of publications in reputed journals and conferences, patents, laboratory/course development and/or other recognized relevant professional activities such as principal investigator of major research papers.

Desirable:
Persons having teaching/ research experience in the area of Biochemical Engineering, spectral analysis, and separation techniques, sequence analysis, system biology, enzyme chemistry, and protein purification, immunology, Fermentation Techniques, Scale up of Biochemical processes, Environmental Biotechnology, Downstream processing, Cell signaling, and Biocatalysis etc. shall be preferred.
Consolidated pay:
Rs. 1,08,000/- (fixed) per month
Maximum Age:
50 years as on last date of application.

Professor (Pharmacoinformatics) – 1 post (OBC)
Qualification & Experience:
1. Ph.D with 1st class or equivalent at the preceding degree M.S.(Pharm)/ M.Pharm/ M.Sc) in the appropriate branch having teaching/industrial/research experience with good academic record.
2. Minimum 10 years Post Ph.D. experience in Teaching/Industry/Research out of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent at P.G. level teaching/Industry/ Research Institute.
3. The candidate should have demonstrated leadership in research in a specific area of specialization in terms of guidance of Ph D students, strong record of publications in reputed journals and conferences, patents, laboratory/course development and/or other recognized relevant professional activities such as principal investigator of major research papers.
Desirable:Persons having teaching/ research experience in the area of computer aided drug design , QSAR, comparative genomics, transcriptomics, immunoinformatics, molecular
modeling, phamacophore mapping, drug metabolism and toxicocity, anti diabetic drug design, NO releasing agents, GSK3, PPARg, AMPK agent design, Studies on drug action, electronic structure studies of drugs, chemoinformatics, Bioinformatics, Pharmacoinformatics, Synthesis of PPARg agents, IPR etc. shall be preferred.
Consolidated pay: Rs. 1,08,000/- (fixed) per month

Assistant Professor (Biotechnology) – 1 post (SC)
1. Ph.D with 1st class or equivalent at the preceding degree M.S.(Pharm)/M.Pharm/M.Sc) in the appropriate branch having teaching/industrial/research experience with good academic record.
2. Minimum 5 years Post Ph.D. experience in Teaching/Industry/Research.
Desirable:
Persons having teaching/ research experience in the area of sequence analysis, system biology, immunology, Fermentation Techniques, Scale up of Biochemical processes, Environmental Biotechnology, Cell and signaling etc. shall be preferred.

1. Ph.D with 1st class or equivalent at the preceding degree M.S.(Pharm)/ M.Pharm/ M.Sc) in the appropriate branch having teaching/industrial/research experience with good academic record.
2. Minimum 5 years Post Ph.D. experience in Teaching/Industry/Research.
Desirable:
Persons having teaching/ research experience in the area of comparative genomics, transcriptomics, immunoinformatics, molecular modeling, drug metabolism and toxicocity, anti diabetic drug design, chemoinformatics, Bioinformatics, Pharmacoinformatics, Synthesis of PPARg agents, IPR etc. shall be preferred.
Consolidated pay: Rs. 67,500/- (fixed) per month
Maximum Age: 45 years as on last date of application.

General Information:
1. Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizen. Mere eligibility will not entitle any candidate for being called for interview.
2. The Director reserves the right to withdraw any or all posts so advertised at any time without assigning any reason. Proposed requirements are for intermittent period till posts are sanctioned by the Govt. of India.
3. The envelope containing the CV in the prescribed format along with supporting documents in support of age, caste certificate, qualifications and experiences, superscribing ‘Application for the post of …………………………………….’, whichever is applied should be clearly mentioned, must reach the office of the Director, NIPER-Hajipur, At - Rajendra Memorial Research Institute of Medical Sciences (RMRIMS), Agamkuan, Patna – 800 007, Bihar by registered/ speed post till 30.12.2016. Delayed applications will not be considered, anyway.
4. Those interested candidates who have applied against the previous advertisement, No. NIPER-HJP /11-1/Teaching/2015, Dated: 20.11.2015 may apply again giving updated C.V, if there is any change in their profile (additional qualifications, publications, Research experience, projects).
5. On the recommendation of the selection committee, the competent authority may relax age limit/ experience/ qualification on recommendation of the Committee. Higher starting pay may be considered in case of extra meritorious candidate.
6. Maximum age is relaxable for Persons retired from a Technical Institution/ Central Universities/ Universities/ Research Institutions having experienced in the field, but within 62 years of age. Age will be reckoned as on 30.12.2016.
7. The selection committee may also recommend considering placement in respective lower grade depending upon qualification and experience.

9. The applicants serving in Government / Semi-Government / Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous organizations must send their application on the prescribed format along with relevant documents ‘Through proper channel’, failing which, the same will not be considered. However to save the time, candidate may send an advance copy and bring the NOC at the time of interview/test.
10. Incomplete application or without relevant supporting enclosures (attested copies of degrees / certificates / marks sheets / experience certificates / Document certifying date of birth, reprint of important publications etc.) will be out-rightly rejected.
11. Canvassing in any form may lead to disqualification of candidature.
12. No interim enquiries/correspondence/communication will be entertained.
13. All appointments are purely temporary and contractual in nature and same is renewable depending upon performance and mutual consent. The candidate will have no right to claim for regularization of the post. All appointments are contractual in nature and on fixed pay.
14. Retired pensioners applying, must enclose a xerox copy of his / her PPO, last salary certificate/ Pay slip. Pension amount shall be deducted from the salary amount as per GOI rules.
15. No TA/ DA is admissible for attending the interview.
16. Age relaxations shall be permissible to reserved category candidates as per extant rules of the Government of India.
17. Moreover, guidelines relating to recruitment rules shall be followed as per NIPER Act, 1998 and as amended from time to time.
