Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani is one of the premier technical and science institutes of higher learning in India. It was established by Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (Rajasthan) as one of its latest campuses in the year 2008 with the first batch graduating in the year 2012. BITS, Pilani is one of India’s top technical and science universities  established under Sec. 3 of the UGC act.

a)    Institute Assistantship: Upto Rs 20,000/- p.m. for Higher Degree (M.E./ M. Pharm/ M Phil) holder Essential Qualification :M.Pharm/ M.S.(Pharm.)in Pharmaceutics with GATE/GPAT/CSIR-NET or
equivalent examination will be preferred

b)    Project position: JRF (01)
Title of project: Exploring the synergism of PPARy agonist and HDAC inhibitor on reversal of Alzheimer's type of dementia and developing their brain targeted nano-carrier system for effective treatment.
Fellowship amount: As per DST norms
Essential Qualification :M.Pharm/M.S (Pharm.)in Pharmaceutics/Pharmacology/Regulatory Toxicology with GATE/GPAT/CSIR-NET or equivalent examination will be preferred.

c)    Project position: JRF (01)
Title of project: Evaluation of antitumor efficacy and pharmacokinetics of polymeric nanoparticle formulation targeted to cancer stem cells Fellowship amount: As per DST SERB norms
Essential Qualification:M.Pharm/M.S(Pharm.)in Pharmaceutics/Pharmacology/Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Regulatory Toxicology with GATE/GPAT/CSIR-NET or equivalent examination will be preferred

d)   Project position: JRF (01)
Title of project: "Cyclic RGD modified lipopolymeric micelles for targeted delivery of Tamoxifen in ER+ breast cancer
Fellowship amount: As per DST (Rajasthan) norms Essential Qualification : M. Pharm/ M.S. (Pharm.)in Pharmaceutics/Pharmacology/Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Regulatory Toxicology with GATE/GPAT/CSIR-NET or equivalent examination will be preferred

Department plan to admit student under:
a. Full Time students: Student, who will devote full-time on Ph D work, will be considered for assistantship/project fellowship. Preference will be given to candidates working in ongoing sponsored projects in the Institute, and the CSIR/UGC- NET qualified candidates, irrespective of the position available in above areas.

b. Part-time Students: Candidates working in organizations situated close to the campus will be admitted under this scheme. Students will have to complete required course work similar to full-time students as specified by DRC. Part time students have to visit the campus for registration, mid- sem evaluation and end-sem evaluation in addition to small period required by the department.

The above prescribed semester fees is for student admitted in the academic year 2016-17. For these students, the semester, term, and admission fees will be revised upward every year, but will not increase beyond 15% each year (unless the government announces any new lavy/tax, which will be passed on to all existing students irrespective of their year of entry.
