The Health & Family Welfare Department of the State Government has been vested with the responsibility of maintaining and developing the health care system in West Bengal. Public health, sanitation and hospitals are the exclusive responsibilities of the State. State provides financial and managerial support for the basic health care support and infrastructural facilities at the rural level, while the State level super specialty Medical Colleges & Hospitals predominantly provides the ambulatory care services.
Applications are invited from eiigibie candidates for engagement to the post of Senior Scientific Officer purely on contact basis for one year. The details are given below.
Post: Senior Scientific Officer
No. of Post And Departments: 4(Four) Pharmacology- 1, Microbiology- 1, Pharmacognosy/ Narcotics- 1, Bio-Chemistry- 1
Essential Qualfication:
(i) A Second Class M.Pharm degree/Second Class M. Tech degree/Second Class M.Sc. degree in Chemistry & Bio-chemistry of recognized University and
(ii) Three years experience in drug Analysis under the control of a Government Analyst or Chemical Examiner to Government or Fellow of Royal Institute of Chemistry of Great Britain (Branch-E) orThe head of an Institute specially approved for the purpose by the appointing authority and
(iii) Three years experience of testing biological products in approved institutions after obtaining necessary training for the purpose in Physiology, Bacteriology, Serology and Pathology.
(Note:- Laboratory experience as mentioned above may be in any one or more of the subjects such as Chemistry including Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ BioChemistry/ Pharmacology&BioAssay/ Microbiology/ Pharmacognosy.
Pay per month: Consolidated Pay Rs.25,000/-
Age: 40yrs as on 1st day of January 2013
