Job Description
Senior Manage - Supply Chain manager execute the regional strategy as set by Global Strategic Sourcing to ensure the quality/compliant, safe, cost-effective and timely production and delivery of externally manufactured products. This team is responsible for managing the day to day relationship with the contract manufacturers (CMO's), identifying compliance/performance issues, communicating issues to the Senior Manage - Supply Chain Leader and following up to ensure issues are effectively addressed by the contract manufacturers.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Manage - Supply Chain to validate the CMO's manufacturing capacity/capability to ensure long range demand can be met.
  • Lead Cross functional teams with Supply chain, Quality, EHS and other functions to drive performance at contract manufacturers.
  • Execute plans for continuous improvement of CMO shop floor performance in the areas of product quality, environmental health and safety, compliance, customer service and product cost.
  • Responsible for managing the day to day relationship with the CMO's assigned.
  • Track performance of the CMO's against Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and Service Level Agreements (SLA's) established by leadership
  • Review the status of deviations which affect product supply and communicate compliance issues to the Senior Manage - Supply Chain and ensure they are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Follow up with CMO's to ensure compliance issues are effectively addressed
  • Monitor compliance to contractual agreements for assigned contractors including vendor visits and site audits as needed
  • Liaise with Global Quality Operations to assure product quality for products manufactured at assigned contractors
  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to leadership to ensure issues are understood and necessary support can be obtained. Person should have good computer skills.
  • Work effectively with other functions to address issues and implement improvements and projects at CMO's.
  • Review the RM / PM cost of 3rd party and get the most competitive rate from them. Identify opportunity to reduce cost.
  • Provide input to the Senior Manage - Supply Chain regarding manufacturing and supply plans (e.g. how much product should be made based on market demand, inventory levels etc and product costing model.
  • Meet or exceed supply performance targets

Candidate Profile
Minimum Bachelors degree, preferably in a scientific or engineering discipline. Candidates with other qualifications with relevant experience are also eligible for the role.

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years in Pharmaceutical/Technical Operations, Pharmaceutical production Planning or Quality Operations
  • Contract Manufacturing, Procurement and project management experience is also highly desirable

Skills

  • For this role fluency in English and Hindi is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English including a demonstrated ability to lead and participate in teams including all levels of management
  • Well developed interpersonal skills (leadership, integrity, team orientation, flexibility, creativity) experience in projects that require collaborative approaches, strong analytical skills, ability to understand business issues and processes, knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations and regulatory requirements
