Vacancy for Scientist, Senior Project Associate at ILBS

The Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) is a tertiary care, super-specialty hospital located in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, India. It was established in 2009 by the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi as an autonomous institute under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The ILBS is a mono-superspeciality hospital, which means that it provides primarily liver and biliary care. This focus on a single organ system allows the institute to achieve a high degree of expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of liver and biliary diseases

Application are invited for the under-mentioned project based position latest by 05th August 2026 through the prescribed application form (appended below) at the Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences, D-1, Vasant Kunj, Delhi 110070 along with supporting documents comprising of education and experience details.

Project Title : AIML-NLP-genomics-driven early warning systems EWS in high-risk patients especially those with NAFLD and NASH for Liver Cirrhosis complications.
Project Duration : 2 Years; appointment under the project shall be on contract basis for a period of 12 months initially and may be extended based on satisfactory performance and/or project duration/availability of funds, whichever is earlier.

Project Scientist-II (Post : 01)
Essential Qualification : (i) Doctoral Degree in Sciences or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university or equivalent and
(ii) Three years’ of experience in Research & Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services.
Desirable : Knowledge/ experience/ expertise in Bioinformatics
Age Limit (as on closing date) : 40 years

Senior Project Associate (Post : 01)
Essential Qualification : (i) Master’s Degree in Natural or Agriculture Sciences/MVSs or equivalent or bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
(ii) Four years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services.
OR Doctoral Degree in Science/ Engineering/ Technology/ Pharma/ MD/ MS from a recognised University or equivalent.
Desirable : Knowledge/ experience/ expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Monthly emoluments (as sanctioned by funding agency) : Rs. 1,19,583/-
Age Limit (as on closing date) : 40 years

General Instructions
1. The above positions are purely contractual, co-terminus with the project duration.
2. Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format; any other format will be rejected without any communication in this regard. Applicants must ensure all necessary documents supporting their candidature as per above Recruitment Rules (RRs) are enclosed.
3. No TA/DA will be payable for attending the interview or any related process.
4. The positions are purely temporary, and selected candidates will have no claim for regular appointment at ILBS or continuation in other projects.
5. Incomplete, late, or unsigned applications will be rejected.
6. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for written test/interview.

7. Any canvassing or attempt to influence the selection process will result in disqualification.
