Applications are invited from eligible candidates for Research Associate – I position for the below mentioned project funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES). The position is purely temporary in nature and co-terminus with the project. The essential qualifications & experience required for the position are mentioned below.
Post : Research Associate-I
Project Title : Exploration of Marine Microbial Communities for Identification of Promising Hits/Leads with Potential Activity Against Tuberculosis/Leishmaniasis and as a Source of Pharmaceutically Important Enzymes
Number of Positions : One (1)
Salary : 58,000 INR per month + 27 % House Rental Allowances (HRA)
Qualification Essential: PhD in Organic Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Process Chemistry / Natural Products /Medicinal Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent. Research experience in organic synthesis, purification techniques, and spectral characterization will be preferred
Desirable : Candidates with experience in isolation and characterization of secondary metabolites from natural sources viz., plants, marine organisms etc., are preferred
Age Limit : 35 years as on the date of 23rd July 2026.
