CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu, is a premier Institute working under the aegis of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), an autonomous body under the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. 

Post : Project Associate - I [ Two Positions]

This Institute invites applications from eligible, interested and highly motivated candidates for the following project-based positions, purely on a temporary basis, under the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF)-Prime Minister Early Career Research Grant (PMECRG) funded project No. GAP-3189 entitled “Systematic Design and Synthesis of Functionalized G3 Palladium Precatalysts for Cross-Coupling Reactions to Construct C-C and C-B Bonds” tenable at CSIR-IIIM, Jammu

Essential Qualification : M.Sc./M.S./M.Pharm./M.Tech. in Chemistry/ Organic Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Chemistry from a recognized university or equivalent

Desirable Qualification : Research experience/ knowledge in Organic Synthesis/ Natural Products Chemistry will be preferred.

Upper Age Limit  : 50 years

Stipend (per month in ₹) : i) 37,000/- a + HRA** OR Ii) 30,000/- b +HRA** (as applicable)

a) For those candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC / ICAR / ICMR NET incl. Lecturership/Assistant Professorship or GATE OR those who have qualified National Level Examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/ Institutions. 
(b) For those who do not fall under (a) above.
**HRA will be paid only if Institutional accommodation is not availed/ provided.

Mode of Selection : Selection is to be done on the basis of Interview; however, if a large number of candidates apply, the Screening Committee may revisit the Screening Criteria, if required.

General Terms, Conditions & Instructions : 
1) The engagement will initially be for a period of ONE YEAR or until the project duration, whichever is earlier. It may be extended or curtailed depending on the project requirements and the performance/conduct of the incumbent(s). The current duration of the project is up to 08.07.2028. 
2) The tenure of engagement shall be co-terminus with the project. However, under no circumstances shall the total tenure exceed six years, including engagement in all CSIR labs. Performance will be reviewed periodically and unsatisfactory performance may lead to termination without any notice or reason. 
3) The position(s) are purely temporary and are on behalf of the sponsor and, therefore, not confer any right on the incumbent(s) to any claim, implicit or explicit, for absorption on any post in CSIR-IIIM/CSIR. 
4) Candidates will have the option to interact in English/Hindi before the Selection Committee.
5) Relaxation in age limit will be given as per Govt. of India Rules. Age will be reckoned as on the last date of receipt of applications. 
6) Upon selection/empanelment, the original documents, including eligibility qualification, DOB, caste, and age relaxation certificate, will be verified; if any discrepancy is found, the selection/empanelment shall stand cancelled. 
7) The number of positions may vary depending upon the project requirements at the time of Interview. 
8) The Director, CSIR-IIIM reserves the right to not to fill any or all advertised positions. 
9) Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification for the positions. 
10) Candidates currently engaged in any project at CSIR-IIIM must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) before applying for any new vacancy. Applications/ candidature/ selection of such candidates will only be considered if the NOC has been issued by the office. 
11) Interim enquiries will not be entertained. 
12) All applicants must fulfil the essential qualification and other conditions stipulated in the advertisement as on the date of Interview. They are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the essential qualifications laid down as on the date of Interview.
