Life Sciences Fellowship for Pediatric Rare Genetic Disorders study at AIIMS

All-India Institute of Medical Sciences was established as an institution of national importance by an Act of Parliament with the objects to develop patterns of teaching in Undergraduate and Post-graduate Medical Education in all its branches so as to demonstrate a high standard of Medical Education in India; to bring together in one place educational facilities of the highest order for the training of personnel in all important branches of health activity; and to attain self-sufficiency in Post-graduate Medical Education.

Applications are invited for the post of Senior Project Associate / Project Associate-I in a DBT-funded project.  

Project Name : Mission Program on Pediatric Rare Genetic Disorders (BT 2196)
Number of Post : 01
Salary : ₹42,000 + 24% HRA
Age Limit : Up to 40 years

Educational Qualification : Candidates should possess a Master's degree in Natural/Life Sciences from a recognized university.
Preferred Qualifications : Ph.D. in Genomics/Bioinformatics/Life Sciences or an equivalent degree.
OR
M.Sc./M.Tech. in Bioinformatics or Human Genetics from a recognized university (or equivalent) with at least one first-author research publication.
Candidates with experience of 4 years in analyzing genomic sequencing data, including DNA sequencing, RNA-Seq, and whole-genome sequencing data, familiarity with genomic databases, standard protocols and pipelines, as well as the ability to develop custom pipelines and mastery over tools like FastQC, trimmomatic and HISAT2 for quality control, alignment, quantification and analysis would be given preference.  
Candidate with at least 2 years experience in Molecular / Cell Biology, sanger analysis & NGS Analysis will be preferred.
