Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology Fellowship at Institute of Science, BHU

Applications are invited for one post of Senior Research Fellow with a fellowship (Fixed amount of Rs. 42.000 per month + HRA (18%) in a sanctioned research project (DBT, New Delhi) entitled “Systemic exploration of exosomal heterogeneity in PD stress conditions and developing strategy to modulate/inhibit dopaminergic neuronal cell death and neuroinflammation”. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The duration of the project will be maximum for 3 Years.

Senior Research Fellow with a fellowship

Essential Qualification : The candidate should have a first-class post-graduate degree in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Molecular & Human Genetics/Zoology/Animal Science/Life Sciences with qualified NET/GATE or equivalent examination.

Desirable Qualifications : Candidates with hands-on experience in maintenance and differentiation of primary cell cultures and iPSCs, and expertise in fundamental techniques and functional assays of neuro biology, Parkinson's Disease, cell culture, molecular biology techniques will be given preference. (This will also be the screening criteria)

Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience in the area of Parkinson's Disease, neuro-biology, neuronal cell culture, molecular biology and cell biology.

Age-Limit : The upper age limit is 32 years for general category.
The upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC candidates and by 5 years for SC/ST, physically handicapped, and female candidates, as per Government of India rules.

No TA/DA will be paid if called for in-person interview.
