Biological Sciences Fellowships to work on the Department of Biotechnology (GOI), GBU

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF- 01) to work on the Department of Biotechnology (GOI) funded research projects. (1) Establishment of a novel enzymatic process for augmenting bioactive oligosaccharide production from cereal based arabinoxylan and β-glucan, targeting Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium surface receptors to enhance their rate of repopulation addressing obesity. These positions will be based at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU). The post is purely temporary and co- terminates with project.

Post : Junior Research Fellow

PI : Dr. Ravindra Pal Singh and Dr. Dhaval Patel

Project title : Establishment of a novel enzymatic process for augmenting bioactive oligosaccharide production from cereal based arabinoxylan and β-glucan, targeting Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium surface receptors to enhance their rate of repopulation addressing obesity.

Minimum Qualifications : M. Sc. in any branch of biological sciences from any reputed university with NET / GATE qualified. Candidate with DBT- category – I and II are eligible as per funding agency rules.

Desirable Qualifications : Candidate having prior work experience in AI/ML in biology, molecular dynamics and docking. Selected candidate(s) will work in collaboration with IIT Bombay, Mumbai.

Age Limit : Up to 28 years on closing date of advertisement

Fellowship Duration : Initial appointment for 1 year which will be extendable till the duration of this project based on satisfactory progress of the candidate,

Emolument : 37000/- + 27 % HRA
