Applications are invited for temporary position of ARF Instrument Scientist to work as an operator at the Flow Cytometry Facility in Molecular Biology & Genetics Unit and Neuroscience Unit at JNCASR, Jakkur, Bengaluru, 560064.

Post : ARF Instrument Scientist

Period of Engagement : The assignment will be purely on contract basis. The initial engagement would be for a period of six months and extendable on requirement and performance review of the candidate.

Essential Qualification : Ph.D. in Biological Sciences

Desirable Qualification : Minimum 6 years’ experience of handling instrument/s at a central facility in national/international research laboratory. Previous experience in handling flow cytometers (BD FACSArialll, BD FACSAria Fusion and BD FACSymphony) will be preferred. Previous experience in handling flow cytometry and data analysis.

Place of work : Flow Cytometry Facility. MBGU/NSU, JNCASR

Scone of work / Job Description : The role includes facility management, coordinating with the researchers (in experiment designing, sample preparation) and equipment vendors. The work will also include ensuring systematic maintenance of the instrument and training users. The candidate should know how to sort cells and analyses flow data using the flow cytometry software such as FACS Diva and FlowJo.

Age Limit : Preferably below 45 years of age as on the last date of receipt of application.

Remuneration : The base remuneration shall be 8.71 lakh per annum. The final remuneration shall be commensurate with the candidate’s qualification, experience in operating the instrument and previous track record in running such facility/instruments. No other allowances are admissible
