All-India Institute of Medical Sciences was established as an institution of national importance by an Act of Parliament with the objects to develop patterns of teaching in Undergraduate and Post-graduate Medical Education in all its branches so as to demonstrate a high standard of Medical Education in India; to bring together in one place educational facilities of the highest order for the training of personnel in all important branches of health activity; and to attain self-sufficiency in Post-graduate Medical Education.
Applications are invited on a contractual basis for the following post under the project funded by The BMS Foundation in the Department of Radiation Oncology, Dr BRAIRCH, AIIMS, Delhi.
Project Title : Evaluating the effectiveness of low-dose CT-based lung cancer screening among high-risk individuals and the availability and impact of lung cancer care pathways
Junior Research Fellow (03 posts)
Salary (Per month) : 48,000/-
Age limit : 35 years
Expected deliverables :
• Act as site-level coordinators, ensuring smooth implementation of screening activities.
• Identify eligible participants and support informed consent procedures.
• Conduct baseline assessments, questionnaires, and documentation of screening outcomes.
• Coordinate LDCT appointments and participant navigation through the screening pathway.
• Document MDT referrals, diagnostic procedures, and treatment initiation timelines.
• Maintain participant follow-up schedules and tracking logs.
• Perform timely data entry and data quality checks.
• Provide periodic site activity updates.
• Undertake additional tasks as guided by PI/Co-PIs.
QUALIFICATION
Essential :
• Master's Degree in Public Health / Life Sciences / Clinical Research / Social Sciences / Epidemiology
Desirable :
• PhD in a relevant stream mentioned aboveCommentHighlight
• Qualified for any national eligibility exam as CSIR/UGC- NET (JRF), GATE, etc. and equivalent exams
• Experience working in cancer screening or respiratory health programs
• Experience supporting clinical assessment and sample documentation
• Experience in maintaining participant sample records, tracking logs and record keeping
• Experience in coordinating diagnostic sample workflow
• Working knowledge of IT applications and MS Office
• Experience in performing data entry, data cleaning, and generating queries.
Project Research Scientist – I (01 post)
Salary (Per month) : 73,000/-
Age limit : 40 years
Expected deliverables :
• Support implementation of LDCT screening protocol, including participant eligibility verification and workflow coordination.
• Assist in the coordination between participating centres for standardised implementation.
• Monitor screening data collection, completeness, and quality.
• Document referral processes, diagnostic timelines, and treatment initiation pathways.
• Assist in preliminary analysis of screening outcomes and care pathway indicators.
• Contribute to staff training and calibration activities.
• Assist in the preparation of progress reports, presentations, and manuscripts.
• Undertake additional tasks as guided by PI/Co-PIs.
QUALIFICATION
Essential :
• MBBS/BDS/BHMS/BUMS/BAMS
OR
• Master's Degree in Epidemiology / Public Health/ Community Medicine
Desirable :
• PhD in a relevant stream mentioned above
• Experience in maintaining screening program data and sample linkage
• Familiarity with diagnostic workflow documentation
• Knowledge of IT applications and MS Office
• Experience working in the area of research projects, research track, scientific research publications, Data analysis and protocol writing
• Skilled in using modern software and tools; possesses analytical, technical, and conceptual skills, including the preparation of reports, presentations, and persuasive documents for decision-making
Project Assistant (02 posts)
Salary (Per month) : 37,000/-
Age limit : 35 years
Expected deliverables :
• Provide administrative assistance for screening program coordination.
• Perform data entry, cleaning, and documentation tasks.
• Maintain participant tracking logs and study documentation.
• Assist in scheduling, communication, and coordination activities.
• Assist in the preparation of routine reports and documentation.
• Undertake additional tasks as guided by PI/Co-PIs.
QUALIFICATION
Essential :
• Master's Degree in a relevant discipline of Science/ Social Sciences/Public Health
Desirable :
• Experience supporting clinical assessment and sample documentation
• Experience in maintaining participant sample records and tracking logs
• Working knowledge of IT applications and MS-Office
• Experience in performing data entry, data cleaning, and generating queries
