Project Title : Design of Fodder Pellets Using Locally Available Leaves : An Approach to Doubling Farmer Income

Co-PI : Prof. Srikanta Routroy, Department of Mechanical Engineering
Project Tenure : 2.5 Years
Qualification : MVSc, MSc/ Mtec (nutrition), M.Pharm, Mteck or equivalent
Upper Age Limit : As per Govt Norms
Fellowship / Stipend : Rs. 22,000 + 2000(HRA) Per Month
Job Description : The Project Assistant will be primarily responsible for the collection and characterization of various samples, along with conducting comprehensive nutritional analyses. In addition, the candidate will actively contribute to the design and development of an innovative model for pellet formation. The developed models will be critically evaluated against existing systems to assess improvements in performance and efficiency. Based on the comparative findings, the candidate will propose new, optimized models for future application. Furthermore, the role includes the preparation and publication of high-quality research papers in peer-reviewed indexed journals, presentation of research outcomes at scientific conferences, and the filing of patents as applicable. The position requires a proactive research mindset, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to contributing meaningfully to the project’s objectives.
Registration for PhD
Selected candidates may be permitted to register for the PhD program of BITS Pilani subject to fulfilling the requirements of the PhD qualification process as per the institute norms and availability of seats and fulfillment of other essential criteria as per rule.

Selection Process
