NIAB is an autonomous and premier institute of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. The Institute aims to develop and harness novel and emerging biotechnological tools and applications, and take up research in cutting-edge areas for improving animal health and productivity as well as contribute to human health and welfare.
Post : Project technical support-III
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up one position of Project Technical Support-III in an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded project titled, ‘X-ray crystal structure determination of V protein and its complexes from Nipah virus and Newcastle disease virus, structure-guided screening and validation of potential anti-V drugs’, under the guidance of Dr. Madhuri Subbiah.
Fellowship : Rs. 28,000/- p.m+ 30% HRA as admissible.
Eligibility criteria : Three years Graduate degree in life sciences from a recognized University / Institute + three years post qualification experience OR Master’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Life Sciences such as Computational Biology / Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology from a recognized University / Institute OR Four years Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Life Sciences.
Desired experiences : Experience in molecular cloning, expression & purification of recombinant proteins and handling cell culture.
Upper Age limit : 35 years
Duration of the project : 3 years (The appointment will be renewed every year based on satisfactory performance)
