NIAB is an autonomous and premier institute of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. The Institute aims to develop and harness novel and emerging biotechnological tools and applications, and take up research in cutting-edge areas for improving animal health and productivity as well as contribute to human health and welfare.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling the following positions at the National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad

Project Title : “Animal Stem Cell Biobank DBT-NIAB: ASCB : The Nation’s First Animal Stem Cell Repository”.

Project Position Code 1 : Technical Assistant (04 Positions)
Eligibility criteria : Bachelor`s degree in Life sciences / BPharm/ BVSc from a recognized university or equivalent. Experience: Candidate with hands on experience in cell culture and animals will be given preference.
Upper Age limit : 50 years
Fellowship amount : Rs. 20,000/- per month + 30 % HRA as per DST guidelines.

Project Position Code 3: Young Professional (04 Positions)
Essential qualification : Master`s degree in Life sciences / MPharm/ MVSc from a recognized university or equivalent.
Experience : Candidate with One year experience in mammalian cell culture / biomaterials / molecular biology / animal handling will be given preference.
Upper Age limit : 35 years
Fellowship amount : Rs. 40,000/- per month (consolidated)

Project Position Code 4 : Project Research Scientist - I (04 Positions)
Eligibility criteria : PhD in Life science from a recognized University.
Experience : Candidate with experience in mammalian cell culture / biomaterials / molecular biology / animal handling will be given preference.
Upper Age limit : 35 years
Fellowship amount : Rs. 56,000/- per month + 30 % HRA as per DST guidelines.
Tenure : One year, likely to extended based on performance and co-terminus with the duration of the project

Project Position Code 2 : Technical Assistant (02 Positions)
Eligibility criteria : Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science and equivalent from a recognized university or equivalent.
Experience : Candidate with experience in project documentation will be given preference.
Upper Age limit : 50 years
Fellowship amount : Rs. 20,000/- per month + 30 % HRA as per DST guidelines.
