Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for engagement of Project Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the research project funded by ‘ANRF’, Government of India at Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.

Title of the Research Project : “Chirality-induced Spin-polarization for Molecular Spintronics Applications”.

Qualifications :
Qualifications Essential for JRF : Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following :
(a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE.
(b) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.
Qualification Essential for SRF : Qualification prescribed for JRF with Two years of research experience.
Desirable : The candidate with a strong background in Quantum Chemistry and/or Quantum Physics, prior experience in computational work, programming experience and strong motivation in pursuing a research career in the domain of computational sciences is highly desired.
Age limit for JRF : Must not be over 28 years as on 19th August, 2025, which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India.
Age limit for SRF : Must not be over 32 years as on 19th August, 2025, which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India.
Fellowship for JRF : Rs. 31,000/- (pm) + HRA (as applicable)
Fellowship for SRF : Rs. 35,000/- (pm) + HRA (as applicable)
Duration : Five months / till the project end whichever is earlier.
Mode of Interview : Hybrid mode (Online/Offline)

• The position is purely temporary and on contractual basis. The position is co-terminus with the project. Candidate selected for this position can also apply for the regular PhD program of INST provided they satisfy eligibility criteria.
