The origins of the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) are rooted in the Indian Cancer Research Centre (ICRC), which was established in 1952 in Parel, Mumbai, under the purview of the Ministry of Health, Government of India. In 1966, ICRC was renamed the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) and amalgamated with the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), creating the first comprehensive cancer centre in India - the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), an autonomous grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India.

Post-I – Project Scientist
Educational Qualification & Experience: - PhD degree in life sciences with experiences in using different in silico based tools and data- bases design.
Consolidated Salary : Rs. 69,440/- p.m. (Rs. 56,000+24% HRA).
Post –II- Principal Project Associate
Educational Qualification & Experience: - *Master’s degree in Life Sciences plus eight years of research experience or PhD degree in life Sciences plus four years of research experiences in protein modelling and dynamics.
Consolidated Salary : Rs. 60,760/- p.m. (Rs. 49,000+24% HRA).
*M.Sc. degree having duration of one-year course will not be considered. Selected candidate will have to join at the earliest; hence result-awaited candidates will not be eligible to apply for the post.
Duration : Six months.
The work progress of candidates will be monitored and extension may be given.
