The origins of the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) are rooted in the Indian Cancer Research Centre (ICRC), which was established in 1952 in Parel, Mumbai, under the purview of the Ministry of Health, Government of India. In 1966, ICRC was renamed the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) and amalgamated with the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), creating the first comprehensive cancer centre in India - the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), an autonomous grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India.
Post : Junior Research Fellow (On Project)
Project Title : “Deciphering the tumor-associated functions of pregnancy zone protein in breast cancer.”
Educational Qualification : *M.Sc. in Life Sciences with minimum 60% marks in the qualifying exam with CSIR-UGC NET and GATE qualification. Candidate with experience in ‘R’, Python programming, and high throughput genomic data analyses will be given preference
*M.Sc. degree having duration of one year course will not be considered.
Selected candidate will have to join at the earliest; hence result-awaited candidates will not be eligible to apply for the post
Duration : ix months and extendable.
The work progress of candidates will be monitored and extension may be given after 6 months.
Consolidated Salary : Rs. 48,100/-p.m. (Rs.37,000+30% HRA).
