Banaras Hindu University is an internationally reputed temple of learning, situated in the holy city of Varanasi. This Creative and innovative university was founded by the great nationalist leader, Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, in 1916 with cooperation of great personalities like Dr Annie Besant, who viewed it as the University of India. Banaras Hindu University was d under the Parliamentary legislation - B.H.U. Act 1915. It played a stellar role in the independence movement and has developed into the greatest center of learning in India.

Applications are invited for the following post in IoE funded research project entitled “Estimate the prevalence of psychological burden in Vascular Dementia and Identify molecular targets along with the discovery of biomarkers to differentiate between Vascular Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease and estimate the effect of Rubia cardifolia on cognitive function in Vascular Dementia”under Dr. Abhishek Pathak (Principal Investigator),Department of Neurology, IMS, BHU, Varanasi. The sanctioned duration of the project is 1years. The post is temporary and is co-terminus with the project. 5 years age relaxation is there for female/ SC/ST/physically challenged and 3 years for OBC candidate (non creamy) as per GoI rules. The upper age limit will be counted on the last date of applicationsubmission. Appointments will be governed by BHU rules.
Upper age limit : Upper age limit 40 years for fresh recruits
Qualification : PhD in Zoology / Life Sciences / Equivalent Degree. OR MSc degree in Life Sciences with 3 years of research experience in field of medical neurosciences along with minimum 1 publication in neurosciences / life sciences in Q1/Q2 journal.
Monthly salary (consolidated) : 60,000/-per month + HRA (10,000/-p.m.)
