Career for Pharmacist at Central Institute of Psychiatry, Government of India

Central Institute of Psychiatry is a premier institution for mental health in India. The British established this hospital on 17th May, 1918 with the name of Ranchi European Lunatic Asylum. CIP, Ranchi has come a long way covering a journey of 100 years witnessing many transitions and at the same time taking the credit of development of a comprehensive mental health service delivery centre with many innovations in the field of mental health and neurosciences including clinical services, state of art research and manpower training in the country. Spread across 211 acres in the picturesque city of Ranchi, today, CIP offers the latest medical advances in an environment that promotes mental health and enhances a sense of wellbeing.

Post : Pharmacist  (1-UR)

Scale of Pay : Level 5 of the Pay Matrix (Rs.29200-92300)

Qualification : 1. Class 12th pass with Science subject from a recognized board.
2. Two years Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution or equivalent.
3. Registered with State Pharmacy Council.

Age Limit : Between 18 and 25 years

The selection will be based on the stages as follows:
1. Written Examination : The Written test will consists of 50 multiple choice questions to be completed in one hour.
2. Skill Test : For the post of Needle Women, Tailor and Cook a Skill test will comprise of trade specific practical test to assess the skills of the appearing candidates.


Skill Test:
Other terms and conditions of the Skill test are:
(i) The Skill test will be specific for different posts.
(ii) Skill test is only a qualifying test. Results of Skill test will be announced on the same day, after the test, as far as possible.
(iii) Candidates are expected to take adequate care while undergoing Skill test to avoid any injury to themselves or those around them.
(iv) The institute will not be responsible for any injury or damage suffered/caused during the Skill test.
(v) The decision of the committee at the venue regarding fltness/un-fitness of candidates in the Skill test will be final.
(vi) Candidates should strictly obey the instruction issued by the institute official at the Skill test venue.
(vii) Candidates are advised to read the conditions specified in the employment notification carefully and appear for the Skill test only if they fulfill all the eligibility conditions mentioned therein. Please note that ineligible candidates detected at any stage will lead to disqualification.
(viii) Candidates will be allowed only one chance and request for a second chance will not be entertained under any circumstances.
(ix) No request for the change in date, venue and time for Skill test will be entertained.
(x) Candidates are advised to appear for the exam in appropriate clothes and shoes.
(xi) Candidates should report to Skill test venue one hour before the time indicated in the call letter. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the venue without producing the call letter.
(xii) Candidates have to bring their all original certificates for verification failing which they will not be permitted for skill test.
The institute will release Merit list of eligible candidates based on the performance in written examination.

b. For SC/ST candidates : Rs.300/- (Rupees Three Hundred) only.

The admit card and a covering letter having necessary instructions will be made available on the CIP website. The admit card and the covering letter are to be downloaded and printed by the candidates and the same to be brought with them to the examination Centre. Examinee will not be allowed to enter the examination hall with any electronic communication gadgets, viz., Mobile Phones, paaer etc. Examinees, who come to the examination Centre, with such gadgets, shall have to make their own arrangements for keeping these outside the examination Centre. If anyone is found with these gadgets, he/she mav be expelled from the examination. This should be strictly complied with.
From the pool of applicants’ suitable candidates would be asked to appear for a written examination and skill test/counseling. The candidates are strongly advised to visit the C.I.P. website from time to time for relevant information and instructions regarding date of written examination and skill test/counselinq.
