ITBPF was raised on 24 Oct,1962. Presently, ITBP is deployed on border guarding duties from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh covering 3488 km of Indo-China Border and manning Border Outposts on altitudes ranging from 9000’ to 18700’ in the Western, Middle and Eastern sectors of the Indo-China Border. ITBPF is a specialized mountain force and most of the officers and men are professionally trained mountaineers and skiers. Being the first responder for natural disaster, ITBPF has been carrying out numerous rescue and relief operations across the country.

Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force invites online applications from eligible male and female Indian citizens to fill up following vacancies of Group ‘C’ posts (non-Gazetted & non Ministerial), in the following pay scale & allowances as admissible in the Force.
Age (Category wise)
Between 20 to 28 years Relaxation:-
(i) Relaxable for Government servant upto 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government from time to time.
(ii) Five years for Scheduled caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST) and three (03) years for Other Backward Class OBC candidates.
(iii) Reservation of posts for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC including other special categories of personnel e.g. Ex-Serviceman will be maintained in accordance with the instructions issued by the Govt. of India from time to time.
Educational Qualification
i) Pass in the Senior Secondary Certificate (10+2) Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects from a recognized Board or equivalent.
ii) Registered as a 'Pharmacist ' under the Pharmacy Act 1948.
Technical qualification required if any
Diploma in Pharmacy from any Central/State Government institution or any institution recognized by the Central/State Government.

Male:- -For all except categories given below- 170 cms -Candidates fallling in categories of Garhwali, Kumaoni, Gorkha, Dogra, Maratha and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, HP, Leh & Ladakh and Kashmir regions ofJ&K and NE States- 165 cms - STs- 162.5 cms Female:- For all categories- 150 cms

200 Marks- Syllabus for written examination is being decided by Director (Medical) ITBP
Examination Fee
100/- No fee is being charged from candidates belonging to SC/ST community, Ex-serviceman and women.
