The Pharmacy department of BITS Pilani is one of the few early schools of Pharmacy in India. Established in 1950, under the able leadership of (Late) Prof. M. L. Schroff, Father of Pharmacy Education in India, it blossomed into one of the most sought after Schools of Pharmacy in India due to its broad-based education system and university-industry linkages, which is the hallmark of BITS, Pilani.
In the year of 2011, the Department of Pharmacy has completed 60 years of its existence as a premier institution in the field of Pharmacy Education and Research in India and abroad. Alumni are well placed in India as well as abroad in various pharmaceutical companies, government organizations like drug control, research laboratories, etc., and in several well-known academic institutions.
Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Applications are invited for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work in a DST funded project titled Thermodynamic studies on force induced transitions in DNA molecule in crowded environment under Dr. Navin Singh, Department of Physics, BITS, Pilani.
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Physics (preferably) or in Physical Chemistry, Biotechnology with minimum 60% marks. It is desirable that candidate should have sound mathematical background and good academic record. Selected candidate may get the accommodation in the campus and may be admitted to Ph.D. program of the Institute. Knowledge of programming language such as C or Fortran is desired.
Fellowship: Rs. 16,000/per month for first two years & 18000/p. m. for the third year (For NET/GATE qualified candidate). For others as per UGC/DST norms.
Duration: Three years or completion of the project whichever is earlier.
