Research positions for Life Sciences, Bioinformatics candidates at BRIC-IBSD

Applications are invited from eligible and motivated candidates for the position of Project Scientist-I (Bioinformatics) under a collaborative research initiative between BRIC-IBSD, Imphal and CDFD, Hyderabad. Selected candidate will be stationed at BRIC-CDFD Hyderabad and coordinate with BRIC-IBSD for bioinformatics and related activities.

Post : Project Scientist-I (01 no.)

Monthly Remuneration : Rs. 56,000/- + HRA per month (as applicable from time to time)

Upper age limit : 35
Duration : Initially for 01 year and extended further after assessment.

Essential Qualifications : (i) Ph.D. in Bioinformatics / Computational Biology / Life Sciences with strong Bioinformatics component OR Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology (Bioinformatics/Computer Science/Biotech); and
(ii) Work experience in R&D/Industries/Academic Institutions/S&T activities and services.

Desirable : • Experience in handling HPC/Server/Workstation.
• NGS data analysis, multi-omics.
• Programming skills in Python/R, Linux, HPC
• Experience with docking, simulation, or systems biology
• Strong publication record

1. The above position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Selected candidate shall not claim regular appointments either in BRIC-IBSD, Imphal and its branches or DBT, New Delhi.
2. Selected staff might be relocated at BRIC-IBSD and/or BRIC-CDFD, Hyderabad depending on project requirements.
3. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
4. The upper age limit is relaxable for reserved categories as per GoI norms.
