Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary position of one Young Professional-II (YP-II) in the ICAR-NASF multi-institutional project entitled “Pangenome Delineation and Genome-Wide Association Studies for NLRome and Structural Variation for Seed Sterility Mapping in Ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe)”, under the supervision of Dr. Shailesh Kumar, Scientist, NIPGR.
Post : Young Professional-II (YP-II) (one post)
Consolidated emoluments : Rs. 42000/- per month, as sanctioned in the project.
Qualification : Candidates having Master’s degree in any subject of Life Sciences with at least one year of research experience in the field of Bioinformatics / Data Science / Machine Learning / AI or related fields are eligible to apply.
The above position is completely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship amount for the above position is as sanctioned in the project and as per ICAR-NASF norms. The initial appointment for the above post will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier, and tenure of the post can be curtailed based on the assessment of the candidate's performance and the discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one-month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.
Eligible candidates may appear for walk-in-interview at National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR), Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi-110067 on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. onwards along with the duly filled in application form in the prescribed format. The duly filled application form along with self-attested copies of the date of birth, educational & experience certificates must be submitted at the time of registration at NIPGR from 09:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on April 21, 2026. Any candidate reporting after 10:30 a.m. will not be entertained for walk-in interview. The candidate must ascertain eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed. All the candidates are requested to appear for the interview with complete bio-data, Ph.D thesis, publications in copy, and original degree/experience certificates and transcripts. Canvassing in any form or bringing influence, political or otherwise, will lead to the disqualification of the candidate(s).
Note : Incomplete application and those in the wrong format will be summarily rejected. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in-interview.
