Project title : A Novel Viscosity- and Intensity-based Point-of-Care Diagnostic Platform for Anemia Screening and Sickle Cell Disease screening with therapy monitoring.
About the project : We have developed an automated smear-based, single platform for chemically induced viscosity change measurement for detection and monitoring of sickle cell disease. The project aims to carry out screening studies in the affected states, namely, Maharashtra, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, neighboring regions. We have one position each at IIT Bombay, NIRTH Jabalpur, and AIIMS Nagpur.
Essential Qualifications & Experience :
Three years Graduate in Life Science / Biotechnology + Three years relevant experience post graduation OR Post Graduate in Life Science/Biotechnology
Job Profile :
1. Perform diagnostic measurements using the new device
2. Will be responsible for all field-related activities that include screening and enrolment of study participants, taking consent, interviewing study participants, and facilitating the required investigations, data collection and data entry.
3. Ensuring retention of study participants by doing home visit/phone calls.
4. Counselling the participants regarding the study procedures.
5. Performing any other study-related activities delegated by the Study Coordinator/ Principal Investigator.
6. Willing to travel to various districts in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and neighbouring states for supervision, monitoring and data entry activities.
7. Keep robust records.
8. Perform all required analysis and, if required, modify the protocol 9. Present results in weekly meetings
Pay Details : Consolidated Salary Rs.28000 + HRA (as applicable) p.m.
General information :
We have one position each at IIT Bombay, NIRTH Jabalpur, and AIIMS Nagpur.
• The position is temporary for a period of 1 year and tenable only for the duration of the project.
• The appointment is for time bound project and the candidate is required to work mainly for the successful completion of the project.
• The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview.
• Candidates called for interview will be required to attend at his/ her own expenses.
