Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one (1) Junior Research Fellow to work on a research project sponsored by ANRF, under the supervision of Dr. Vijaykumar D Nimbarte, Department of Pharmacy, BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad campus.
Post : One (01) Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Title of the project : Development of Peripherally Restricted RAGE Inhibitors as Safe Therapeutics for Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy
Fellowship amount : Rs. 37,000 + 30% HRA (as applicable) Rs. 11100 = Rs 48100 /month for 3 years based on regular evaluation of performance
Essential eligibility : M. Pharm. or M.S (Pharm) (Medicinal Chemistry or Process Chemistry) GPAT Qualified
Desirable qualifications
- The candidate should have a strong interest in Medicinal Chemistry based drug discovery, multi-tasking ability and be self- motivated.
- Expertise in Organic and Medicinal Chemistry, Drug Design and MD Simulation is a MUST.
- Basic handling experience of In- vitro Elisa based assays, Western Blot
The project titled " Development of Peripherally Restricted RAGE Inhibitors as Safe Therapeutics for Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy " is a strategic collaboration between Dr. Vijay Nimbarte (BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus), Dr. Abhijeet Joshi, and Prof. Punna Rao Ravi, bringing together complementary expertise in a drug discovery (Medicinal chemistry, DMPK and Pharmacology research.
