CSIR-IIIM invites online applications from prospective candidates of all branches of Biological, Chemical & Agricultural sciences for CSIR- IIIM Research & Training/Internship Program starting from May 2026 onwards.
Mode of Training / Internship
Trainees will have to work under the supervision/mentorship of CSIR- IIIM Scientist / Technical Officer. Each student is supposed to work on an allotted project and must submit a ‘Project Report’ of the work done on completion of the project.
Eligibility :
M.Sc.Program: Candidates who are currently pursuing their MSc Prog are eligible to apply for CSIR-IIIM R&TP (Summer Call).
B.Tech./B.Pharm/BSc Honors (4 Years Prog) Program: Candidates who are currently pursuing their B.Tech/B.Pharma/BVSc/BSc Honors must be in their Third or Fourth Year only.
Integrated B.Tech.-M.Tech or B.Sc-M.Sc.or MVSc:Candidates must be in their Third Year study onwards.
MBBS/BDS students in any year of their study can apply.
Note : Candidates pursuing 3 years B.Sc. program and PhD are not eligible to apply
Selection Criteria
Selection criteria will be as under:
1. Nation-wide representation.
2. Preference shall be given to students from a) Public funded Universities/Institutes,
b) Universities/Institutes with which CSIR-IIIM Jammu is having MoU.
3. Academic Record of 12th class, graduation and semesters cleared at Bachelors/Masters level will be given preference. The number of trainee’s intake varies between 50-60 candidates for Summer session, and mainly depends upon the availability of bench space available in various laboratories of CSIR-IIIM.
Fee will be charged as under
Duration and Fee
Two months : 10000+ 18% GST
Three months : 15000+ 18% GST
Four months : 20000+18% GST
Five months : 25000+18% GST
Six months : 30000+18% GST
How to apply
Prospective trainees interested in applying for the Research Training/ Internship Program 2026 summer session must submit application through on-line mode by or before 04 May 2026, 5 PM. Web link for on-line application is /training.iiim.res.in Documents required to be attached along with the Application form are as under.
1. Completed Application Form.
2. Marks Card and Diploma/degree Certificate of 12th Standard and Graduation.
3. Marks Card of semesters cleared till April 2026.
4. Recommendation Letter (In original) from HoD/Dean/Registrar/Principal/Director (in Original).
Please note that photo copy of the letter shall not be accepted.
Financial Support/Boarding/Lodging
Selected candidates are required to self-finance their stay at CSIR- IIIM Jammu and shall have to make their own arrangement for stay in Jammu/Srinagar during the training period. CSIR-IIIM may consider requests for accommodation only from outstation students, especially girl students in CSIR-IIIM housing facility depending upon the availability of the acc accommodation on first come first serve basis for which candidates will have to pay nominal license fee + electricity charges as per CSIR norms.
