BRIC-RGCB Life Sciences Fellowship

Applications are invited from suitable candidates (Indian Citizens) for one position of Junior Research Fellow in the DBT funded project with the title “Functional Dissection of Host Protein Import by Plasmodium for non-metabolic purposes”, in the laboratory of Dr. Rajesh Chandramohanadas, Scientist -E II at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB), Thiruvananthapuram.

Post : Junior Research Fellow

Essential Qualifications
• The candidate must have a first-class Post Graduate Degree in any branch of life sciences
• The candidate should have qualified CSIR-UGC NET, DBT-BET, GATE, etc.
• The candidate must be familiar with research practices and methodologies, and have good knowledge and experience in one or more areas such as molecular biology, cell biology or protein biochemistry.
• Prior experience with cell culture (adherent and suspension) and microcopy techniques

Desirable Qualifications
• Experience in handling infectious material for research
• Familiarity with omics platforms

Age : 28 years as on 11th May 2026. Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms

Duration : Initially for a period of one year or till termination of the project whichever is earlier and extendable based on the performance evaluation.

Emolument : 37,000/- + 18% HRA per month

Selection Process
• Applications should be submitted online.
• Candidates currently working in Government firms should send applications through proper channel.
• Last date for receiving completed applications is 11th May 2026.
• If a candidate wishes to apply for different positions, separate application forms should be submitted for each position.
• Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.
