Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University is a young state University of Maharashtra state, established on 1st August 2004. The Formation of the University at Solapur was a long cherished desire of the people of this region and the people of the district have an emotional attachment to the University since its inception. Earlier to the formation of University, Solapur city had a P. G. Center of Shivaji University, Kolhapur since 1984. The center for P. G. Studies had three postgraduate science departments housed in two buildings and a central Library building on its campus that spread over a total area of 37 acres. Seven postgraduate courses were offered in that P.G. centre.

All the recruitment Eligibility as per the Norms of qualifications for appointment of teachers and other academic staff in universities and colleges and measure for the maintenance of standards in Higher Education, 2018 GOVERNMENT OF MAHARASHTRA, Higher & Technical Education Department, Government Resolution No. Misc-2018/C.R.56/18/UNI-1 Mantralaya Annex, Mumbai Date: 08 March, 2019 and related GR which is issued by Government of Maharashtra. And AICTE Rules for BBA, MBA and Technology Courses.

Qualification :
1) Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University. 
2) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SET.
Provided the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the existing Ordinances/ By-laws/ Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree andsuch Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:
a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in regular mode only;
b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two examiners;
c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;
d) The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal; and
e) The candidate has presented at least two papers, based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/ seminars, sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/ CSIR or any similar agency.
Note : 1) The fulfillment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or the Dean (Academic affairs) of the University concerned.
2) NET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SET is not conducted. However, Ph.D. degree shall remain the minimum eligibility for appointment of Assistant Professor in such disciplines.

Qualification for Technology : M.Sc. Chemistry/ M. Pharmacy/ M.Tech. in Cosmetic Technology
Assistant Professor in Pharmaceutical Sciences : B.Pharm. and M.Pharm. in relevant specialization (Pharmaceutical Chemistry /Pharmacology /Pharmacognosy/ Pharmaceutical Analysis) with First Class or minimum 55% marks, GPAT / Ph.D./ Ph.D. (Tech.) Preference will be given to candidates with Ph.D. / Ph.D. (Tech.) and relevant teaching / industry experience.
Medicinal Chemistry : M.Sc. Medicinal/Organic Chemistry, NET/SET/Ph.D.
Analytical Chemistry : M.Sc. Analytical Chemistry, NET/SET/Ph.D.


General Instructions for Candidates
1. The Prescribed application form should be downloaded from the University website sus.ac.in link of Recruitment/ Employment Opportunities. 
2. All posts are to be filled on purely temporary contract basis for Academic Year 2026-27. 
3. The minimum qualification for post is as per UGC/AICTE/Government norms as the case may be. 
4. A relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to 50%, at the Master’s level for S.C./S.T./VJ-NT/SBC/O.B.C. (Non-creamy Layer) / Differently abled category (Divyang). 
5. Relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50%, to the Ph.D. holders, who have passed their Master’s degree prior to 19th Sept., 1991. 
6. 4% reservation will be observed for PWD (Divyang) candidates as per Government Resolution dt. 29.05.2019. 
7. 30% reservation for women shall be observed as per Government norms. 
8. As per Government Resolution VJ/NT Category are interchangeable. 
9. As the nature of appointment is purely temporary, if the reserved candidates from respective categories are not available for the aforesaid reserved posts these posts will be filled in through other candidates as per merit. 
10. Candidates from reserved category, who are domiciled outside the Maharashtra State will be treated as Open Category candidates as per Government resolution. 

11. Application fee is Rs. 500/- (non-refundable) for General, EWS, SEBC candidates and Rs. 250/- (non-refundable) for SC/ST/VJ-NT/SBC/OBC/PWD (Divyang) candidates.

13. The candidates are advised to fill-in the prescribed Online application form completely. Incomplete Online application forms and those that are not in the prescribed format shall be rejected. 
14. Separate online application should be submitted for each post. 
15. The online application form shall be rejected and no communication in this regards shall be made in case; 
a) the candidate does not possess essential academic qualifications and / or experience, 
b) the candidate exceeds the maximum age limit prescribed for the post 
c) self-attested copies of essential documents and certificates such as qualifications, experience, age are not enclosed, 
d) the details of the payment of the requisite fee is not enclosed, 
e) If the application is not signed by the candidate. 
16. The essential qualification, experience and age of the applicant shall be taken into consideration as on the last date of submission of application form. 
17. The Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University, Solapur reserves all rights regarding increase or decrease in number of posts, correction, addition or deletion in advertisement and cancellation of whole advertisement. 
18. Any change/modification in the advertisement shall be uploaded on the university website http://sus.ac.in ----->Establishment ----->Recruitment or Employment Opportunity only. Therefore, the applicants are instructed to check the website regularly. 
19. The University reserves the right not to fill up any post(s) even after selection of a candidate(s) thereof. 
20. Also, if the number of students admitted for a subject fall below 50%, the University reserves the right to order the appointment of candidates for such subjects.

21. Candidate must furnish the detailed information regarding suspension, removal from previous service or any criminal prosecution against him/her or nature of punishment ordered thereof. 
22. Government employee and the staff working under the Universities and other institutes/organizations should necessarily submit their online application through proper channel. 
23. If at any time after appointment, it is found that the candidate has submitted false information document, his/her appointment shall be terminated without prior information/notice. 
24. Fix Pay: i) Qualification NET/SET/GPAT/GATE/Ph.D. holder candidates Rs. 30,000/- per month, 
ii) Others candidates Rs. 25,000/- per month on consolidated pay, 
iii) for M.B.A./M.E./M.Tech. - as per sixth pay commission. 
25. A candidate furnishing incorrect or false information shall stand disqualified at any stage. 
26. The candidates must attach the first page of research paper with the application from. 
27. Candidates must fill the Table 3-A format enclosed with application form.
