Applications are invited for Project Research Scientist - 1 (Non-Medical) in Prof. Samrat Mukhopadhyay’s lab at IISER Mohali
Job description : One position is available in the externally funded ICMR project dedicated to work on “Phase Separation of Fusion Oncoproteins”. The candidate is required to have demonstrated experience in molecular biology/recombinant protein expression and purification/biophysical characterization/confocal microscopy experiments. The candidate with demonstrated research capability in intrinsically disordered proteins will be preferred.
Duration : Two years or till the project ends, whichever is earlier.
Essential qualifications : The candidate should have an M.Sc./M.S. or equivalent in biological sciences or allied sciences.
The candidate should have experience in molecular biology/recombinant protein expression and purification/biophysical characterization/confocal microscopy and phase separation assays.
The candidate should have at least one first or joint-first-author paper in a reputed biology journal.
The candidate with research capability in intrinsically disordered proteins and phase separation assays will be preferred.
Emoluments : Rs. 56,000 per month
