The Laboratory was established in 1941 as a research and production centre, known as Drug Research Laboratory of J&K State and was later taken over by Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) of Govt. of India in December 1957 as Regional Research Laboratory, Jammu. In view of its core strength in natural products based drug discovery, the mandate of Institute was redefined in 2005 and its name changed to Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM).
Post : Project Research Scientist (Non-Med.) [01 Position]
Applications are invited from eligible and interested candidates for the following position(s) purely on temporary basis under ICMR funded project entitled “Targeted nano-carrier based tumor- associated macrophage polarization and rationally designed natural product mediated strategy for improved triple negative breast cancer therapy” (GAP-3162), tenable at CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu.
Essential Qualification : First-class Post-Graduate degree (MPharm / MS Pharm) in Pharmaceutics from a recognised University or equivalent. OR 2nd Class Post-Graduate degree (MPharm / MS Pharm) in Pharmaceutics with PhD
Desirable : Experience in the area of drug delivery systems or candidate with GPAT / GATE in pharmaceutical sciences will be preferred
Upper Age Limit : 35 years
Monthly Emoluments : Rs.56,000/- + HRA
Important Instructions
1. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The engagement shall be initially for a period of ONE YEAR or till the project duration, whichever is earlier. The engagement shall be extendable on yearly basis subject to performance review and project duration. The duration of the project is up to 28.02.2026.
2. The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR – Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu or different Lab./Instt. of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 6 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit, for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-IIIM, Jammu.
3. Age will be reckoned as on the date of the Interview. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per GOI/CSIR Instructions subject to production of certificates in prescribed format.
4. Age relaxation for Widows, Divorced Women, and Women Judicially separated from Husbands who have not remarried since, as per GOI/ CSIR provisions.
5. The filled-in Google Form should be submitted by or before 25th April 2025 (Friday) up to 05:00 PM. Google/Application Forms submitted after the scheduled date and time shall not be entertained for the interview and summarily rejected.
6. Only eligible candidates shall be accessed for the interview. The list of eligible candidates and the date for the interview will be displayed on the CSIR-IIIM Website, iiim.res.in, by the evening on 02nd May 2025 (Friday). Eligible/shortlisted candidates shall attend the interview on MS Teams. All shortlisted candidates will be required to send scanned copies of certificates (in a single PDF file), by 5:00 pm on 8th May 2024 (Thursday), through email to therapeutics2021@gmail.com.
7. In case a large number of candidates apply, the Screening Committee may re-visit the screening criteria and shortlist the candidates for interview in proportion to the available vacancies.
8. Candidate has the option to interact in English/Hindi before the Selection Committee.
9. In case the final certificates reflect CGPA/SGPA/OGPA Grades, the candidate should convert the same into an equivalent percentage as per the approved formula of the University in the Google Form, and a copy of such conversion must be attached along with the Google form.
10. To avoid any inconvenience, only those candidates who strictly fulfil the eligibility criteria and possess the degrees/mark sheets in the subjects above should apply for the interview.
11. Upon selection/empanelment, the original documents, including eligibility qualification, DOB, caste, and age relaxation certificate, will be verified; if any discrepancy is found, the selection/empanelment shall stand cancelled.
12. Candidates currently engaged in any project at the Institute must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) before applying for any new vacancy. Applications/candidature/selection of such candidates will only be considered if the NOC has been issued by the office.
