Advertisement for M.Pharm, M.S Pharm, MTech to work in DST-SERB funded project at NIPER

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hyderabad is an "Institute of National Importance" with proclaimed objectives of becoming Centre of Excellence for advanced research in pharmaceutical sciences. NIPER-Mohali was the first institute established in the year 1998 under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, the Govt. of India. Later, the DOP established 6 new NIPERs across the country including NIPER-Hyderabad which started functioning from 19th October 2007, from the premises of erstwhile R&D Centre of IDPL, Balanagar, Hyderabad.

Post : Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for JRF position for the below mentioned project funded by Department of Science and Technology (DST) – Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB). The position is purely temporary in nature and co-terminus with the project. The period of employment may be initially for 01 year and renewed up to the end of project duration based on satisfactory performance. The essential qualification & experience etc. required for the position have been mentioned below.

Project Title : Design and development of a non-invasive controlled release sol-gel based- dual drug delivery system for simultaneous alleviation of intraocular pressure and retinal ganglionic cells degeneration in glaucoma

Salary : Rs. 31,000 per month + Applicable House Rental Allowances. Approximate emoluments may be Rs. 38,440 per month [OR] As per DST-SERB norms.

Qualification Essential : M.S. (Pharm), M.Pharm, M.Tech or Equivalent (with specialization in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Biotechnology or Life Sciences from the recognized Board/ University/ Institute.
Candidates (i) qualified in GATE/NET/GPAT or any other national level examinations; and
(ii) having experience in Drug delivery, Animal studies, Histopathological techniques, Molecular biology techniques, In vitro mammalian cell culture techniques will be given preference.

Age limit : 28 years as on the date of advertisement. Age relaxation may be given for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per DST-SERB, Government of India norms.
