Department of Science, Technology and Environment, Government of Punjab (GoP) with the financial support of Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India (GoI) setup Punjab Biotechnology Incubator (PBTI) in 2005. PBTI is a component of Agri Food Biotechnology Cluster, Knowledge City, Sector 81, SAS Nagar (Mohali). PBTI, a registered Society under Societies Registration Act is professionally governed by Governing Council under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Punjab. PBTI started providing hi-end world class NABL accredited analytical services to Agri, Food, Environment and Allied Sectors from transit premises in Mohali.

Punjab Biotechnology Incubator (PBTI) invites applications for the following Project Positions purely on contractual basis for a period of one year or project duration & co-terminus with Project.
Project - Establishment of Sample Collection Centre at Amritsar and Strengthening of dedicated Analytical Lab at Mohali, to support export of Basmati Rice from Punjab
Location : Mohali
Emoluments : Rs 42,000/- +16% HRA
Eligibility criteria : Qualification and Experience :
Essential : i. Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/ MVSc or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent
ii. Four (04) Years experience in Research & Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science & Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services OR Doctoral degree in Science/ Engineering/ Technology/ Pharma from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable : Experience of working with national/international testing & certification laboratories /organizations. Knowledge of national/international Laboratory Quality Management Systems and Standards for quality testing. The candidate qualified as Food Analyst by FSSAI would be given preference.
Job Requirement : The incumbent would be responsible for activities as per scope of Project and instrumental/ chemical/ Physical analysis of agri/ food & allied products, water etc.
Upper Age Limit : 40 years

6. No fee will be payable by Schedule Caste (SC), Schedule Tribe (ST) candidates.
7. Number of posts may be increased or decreased as per the decision of PBTI. 8. Incomplete or without fee applications will not be considered.

10. CGPA conversion to percentage formula of University/institute should be provided alongwith photo copy of DMC/Degree.
