CSIR - Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad is a Premier Research Laboratory under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research , which is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. CSIR-IICT is a multi-disciplinary Institute with proven strengths in Organic Chemistry (drugs, agro chemicals and industrial organics), Inorganic and Physical Chemistry including Catalysis, Lipid Science & Technology, Organic Coatings & Polymers, Chemical Biology, Chemical Engineering and Design Engineering.

CSIR – IICT is conducting Walk-in-Interview on 25.04.2023 for the following positions under various sponsored projects purely on temporary basis.

Project Associate-II (or) Project Associate-I (01 post)
Name of the Project : Self sustaining medical care facilities for CSIR- IICT staff, pensioners and their dependents along with students and other eligible members
Emoluments : Rs. 28,000+HRA or Rs. 25000+HRA
Essential & Desirable qualification in the area / discipline : 
Essential Qualifications : Project Associate-II: B pharmacy with 2 years experience in dispensing medicines
Project Associate-I: B pharmacy
Desirable Qualification : Project Associate-I : 2 years experience in dispensing medicines
Upper age limit as on date of walk in interview : 35

Project Associate-II (01 post)
Name of the Project : Safety Management
Emoluments : Rs. 28,000+HRA
Essential & Desirable qualification in the area / discipline : 
Essential Qualifications : B.Tech in Chemical/ Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Safety/ Fire Engineering with 2 years experience in Industry/ Research Laboratories/ Construction/ Academic Institutions etc
Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to experience in Safety Department but not compulsory

Project Associate-II (01 post)
Name of the Project : Ab ignition insights into the molecular level mechanism of sorption enhanced steam methane reforming on hybrid materials
Emoluments : Rs. 28,000+HRA
Essential & Desirable qualification in the area / discipline : 
Essential Qualifications : MSc in Chemistry (or) B.Tech in Chem Engg / Computer Science with 2 years experience in
i) experience in application of different quantum mechanical methods (or)
ii) synthesis & characterization of catalytic materials (or)
iii) knowledge in application of AI/ML methods
Desirable Qualification: M.Tech in Chemical Engg / Computer Science

Project Associate-I (01 post)
Name of the Project : Environmentally Benign Routes to Affordable Healthcare (EBRAH)
Emoluments : Rs. 31,000+HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility tests-CSIR-UGC-NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examination conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions ii) and Rs. 25,000+HRA for others who don’t qualify (i) above
Essential & Desirable qualification in the area / discipline : 
Essential Qualifications: MSc in Organic Chemistry
Desirable Qualification : 1 year R&D experience

Project Associate-I (01 post)
Name of the Project : PAN CSIR - Cancer research program focusing on breast & gynecological cancers of Indian relevance
Emoluments : Rs. 25,000+HRA
Essential & Desirable qualification in the area / discipline : 
Essential Qualifications : MSc / B.Tech in Biological Sciences (Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Microbiology) or M.Pharm in Pharmacology
Desirable Qualification : M.Tech in Biological Sciences (Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Microbiology) and Hands on research experience in Cell Biology handling cell lines or Molecular Biology including cloning, protein expression, protein purification, protein folding etc. is highly desirable preferable

Project Assistant (01 post)
Name of the Project : Routine NMR operations & related GLP documentation
Emoluments : Rs. 20,000+HRA
Essential & Desirable qualification in the area / discipline : 
Essential Qualifications : B.Sc (Chemistry)
Desirable Qualification : B.Sc., fresher’s with experience in MS Office will be preferred
Upper age limit as on date of walk in interview : 50

Technician (04 posts)
Name of the Project : To work in chemical R&D laboratory for electrical maintenance of labs and attending shift duties in substations/DG sets for 24x7 duties, preparing of electrical estimates etc
Emoluments : Rs. 20,000+HRA
Essential & Desirable qualification in the area / discipline : 
Essential Qualifications : Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Desirable Qualification: Preferably 2 years hands on experience in Electrical Repair & maintenance of laboratory or similar building experience, attending 24x7 substation/DG sets shift duties, preparing of electrical estimates etc.

Scientific Administrative Assistant (02 posts)
Name of the Project : Computer Work in Stores & Purchase Division
Emoluments : Rs. 18,000+HRA
Essential & Desirable qualification in the area / discipline : 
Essential Qualifications : Graduate in any discipline
Desirable Qualification : Proficiency in computers
Upper age limit as on date of walk in interview : 50

• Upper age limit shall be reckoned as on the last date of receipt of applications.    
• Experience shall be counted after obtaining the minimum prescribed qualification  
• Candidates possessing essential qualification in the required area/discipline only should apply, others are not eligible. Result awaited candidates are not eligible.

NOTE :
1.The above age limits are relaxable for candidates of statutory groups (SC/ST/OBC) and PWD candidates as per Govt. of India/ CSIR instructions on the subject.
2.The candidates who have already served CSIR-IICT or any other lab/institute of CSIR as any Project Assistant / Project Fellow / JRF (in contract R&D projects) / SRF (in contract R&D projects) / Research Associate etc., for a total period of 5 years or more are not eligible for these engagements. The candidates who have served for a period less than 5 years will have tenure up to remaining period till completion of 5 years.
3.CSIR-IICT reserves the right to cancel or withdraw the award in case of any discrepancy found, in the candidature of any selected candidate at any stage.
4.The selection will be on the basis of interview & skill test if applicable will be conducted for suitable posts.
5.CSIR-IICT reserves the right not to fill up a particular position, if it so desires. The number of vacancies indicated above may vary at the time of actual selection.
6.The period of experience in a discipline / area of work, wherever prescribed, shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualifications for that position.
7.The engagement will be purely on temporary basis initially for a period of six months which may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the sponsored project / satisfactory performance or conduct of the fellow as the case may be and does not entitle him/her for any permanent position in CSIR/IICT.
8.No TA/DA will be paid for the interview.

Candidates who fulfill the under-mentioned criteria of age, educational qualifications, experience etc., may appear for walk-in-interview with the duly filled application form (download the application form from CSIR-IICT Website) along with one set of attested relevant documents (certificates of all educational qualifications from matric/10th onwards, Experience, DOB, latest Category/Caste Certificate etc) and appear for walk in interview. Candidates are required to bring all the original certificates for verification.

Candidates should register their names for walk-in-interview between 09.30 AM to 10.30 AM on 25.04.2023.
