The Pharmacology Matters Writing Competition for early career pharmacologists

The British Pharmacological Society is the primary UK learned society for pharmacologists concerned with research into drugs and the way they work. Members work in academia, industry, regulatory agencies and the health services, and many are medically qualified. British Pharmacological Society are a charity with a mission to promote and advance the whole spectrum of pharmacology. British Pharmacological Society lead the way in the research and application of pharmacology around the world.

This competition is for early career pharmacologists.* We’re looking for informative, entertaining and thoughtful articles on any pharmacology-related topic. For example, education, policy, drug development, basic pharmacology, clinical pharmacology or toxicology. Or whatever you think would be an interesting topic! Last year’s winner was Josh Dignam, with Of Fangs and Pharmacology: A Deadly Cure for Heart Disease. 

The winning article will be published in Pharmacology Matters  magazine. The winner will also receive a year’s complimentary membership to the British Pharmacological Society.

Articles should be no longer than 1000 words and aimed at the general public. Feel free to include images and figures. Any references should be added as hyperlinks in the text.
