Applications are invited from Indian nationals only for project position(s) as per the details given below for the research project under the guidance of Principal investigator: Dr. Ranjana Pathania, Associate Professor, Department of Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.

Title of the project: “Detection and Inhibition of Clinically Relevant Carbapenemases (DICARBA)”.

Sponsor of the project: ICMR(ICM-1 194-BIO) and Research Council of Norway, Norway.

Qualifications: The prospective candidate should have Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Molecular Biology/Biochemistry with first class in the preceding degree. Experience in mice model based toxicity and efficacy assessment using bacterial pathogens is required. Experience in molecular biology techniques such as cloning, protein purification, characterization and biochemical techniques is also mandatory.

* Candidates who have recently submitted their doctoral thesis are also eligible to apply subjected to the condition that they will furnish the proof of award of Ph.D. at the time of interview.

Emoluments: Rs. 40,000/- per month + 10% HRA

Duration: For the duration of the project (till March 2021)

Job description: laboratory related research work in the above cited project.

A. Candidates before appearing for the interview shall ensure that they are eligible for the position they intend to apply.
B. Candidates desiring to appear for the interview should submit their applications with the following documents to the office of Principal Investigator through email, by post or produce at the time of interview.
C. Application on a plain paper with detailed CV including chronological discipline of degree/certificates obtained.
D. Experience including research, industrial field and others.
E. Attested copies of degree/certificate(s) and experience certificate. Candidate shall bring along with them the original degree(s)/certificate(s) and experience certificates at the time of interview for verification.
F. Please note that no TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.

The last date for application to be submitted to office of Principal Investigator is 9th April, 2019.

The walk in interview will be held at Department of Biotechnology on 12th April, 2019 at 3 PM onwards in the committee room.
